Hey guys, will probably get some grief for this post but worth a shot,
As of late I've definitely been getting more replies to my messages that consist of "You're not British" its funny because I am born and raised here. then I get the clap back of "well you don't belong here"
Just wondering if anyone else has been getting the same or just me haha x |

I genuinely believe this is happening more and more everywhere. I believe the division of people is on the rise but if I say anything about this, I’m just imagining it. Also people don’t like this truth because it’s ugly and shows how bad humanity can be.

Sadly first Brexit, and now Reform are legitimising the vocalisation of abhorrent views. Anyone who is on this site advocating for any of the extremes of the right in their current form needs to take a long hard look at themselves.
Once they have stopped demonising people from elsewhwere they will find a new group, will it be gay/trans/bi or disabled, who next?....kink/fet communities and finally swinging community and lifestyle clubs. Don't be fooled.
They may not be coming for you at the moment but when they run out of an existing demographic to demonise they just move on to the next group.
Just consider how we ended up here.
You've got no jobs and are poor and it is all the EU fault and all those EU economic migrants.
5 years later
You've got no jobs and are poor and it is all the "Uniparty fault" for not doing Brexit properly and all those refugees we let in and all those taking benefits.
and so on and so on.....
Here is the real rub, the likes of Farage and Tice, Trump in US, etc etc, they all somehow manage to convince relatively poor people that the reason they are poor and struggling is another group of people that are also relatively poor and struggling in their own way. Whilst they themselves have wealth, and in the case of Farage have friends that can send them a £5m gift for fun.
There is a great cartoon with cookies that sum it up, a very wealthy (assume supposed to be Murdoch) sitting with a pile of cookies on the plate, with one white man and one refugee sitting in front of him with a cookie each. The rich man says "See that man there, he wants your cookie."
And yet here we are with sadly 30% of the population believing the nonsense, lets just hope that is the maximum vote they can actually achieve.

Keyboard warriors feeling empowered to be nasty. They're generally folk who aren't really winning at life and have to blame some 'other' for why they're unhappy. |

Sorry you've had this, mate.
There's definitely been a rise in this kind of casual racism online (and in person) - insults I thought we'd left back in the 70s and 80s are back in fashion!

In my eleven years on fab I don't recall receiving any correspondence that could be perceived as racist. That's not to say there aren't racists on the site, there obviously is, but I've managed to be undisturbed by them 😔 |
