I am the only one I know who once travelled on this legendary vehicle. Sadly, had to get off in Athens.
Any fellow travellers who went all the way to Kathmandu or beyond? |

Went to Kathmandu when I was ten in the very early eighties to see my brother and remember my mum getting offered uppers. It only made sense about eight years later but seeing the poverty, happiness, animal sacrifices to shiva, an absolute monarchy(where we had tea as brother was working in he embassy) changed my life forever and gave me a massive travel bug. It is a shame you didn't make it to Kathmandu as it was magical then and ten, fifteen years earlier it would have been even more awesome. Lol remember what a Yoni is, unfortunately Langan is dick in India and therefore if you say you are from London you engender some amusing responses! |

My erstwhile partner in crime on here went under the moniker of Lingam.
And yes, if things had been different I'd stayed on the bus till the very end. I envy you your experience.
