I am sure someone with good experience will advise you soon, In the meantime all I can say is I attended my first party at the weekend and yes some nibbles were laid on but it was really more about the ability of the host and hostess to make everyone relaxed and feel included, including when the fun started.

Back of Beyond

Best to invite a select few couples, deffo no more than 8 couples and hope that half of them turn up. Best way for that is to look at profiles in your area and search for those people who have good feedback about attending parties. Unless of course you already have people lined up.

Secondly, nibbles are usually laid on, not a full blown finger buffet, but just something for people to peck at and sit and talk around when not playing.

Next make sure that if they want alcohol that they bring their own, you don't want a house full of pissed people. Besides, you will find guests always bring more than they want and are happy to leave it with you afterwards!! You can bring this out at the next party.

Always have some condoms to hand along with baby wet wipes. Tell your guests to bring their own condoms but be prepared for those who forget in the excitement to get there!

Have a bedroom set aside for those that may want privacy, preferably not your own! But best way is to try and keep food/nibbles/drink in the kitchen/dining area and for any group play, have plenty of duvets spread around the lounge area.

Lastly your guests will always look to you as hosts to kick things off. So lots of good talk and atmosphere required, don't have porn showing on the telly, a music channel will do for background.

Then as soon as you decide the time is right, as hosts you will need to start getting naked as your guests won't usually do so until you make the first move. You have to be good at detecting this moment in your guests, leave it too long and nobody will be bothered and will want to leave through boredom.

You need a way of breaking the ice with everyone, best we have found is to all sit around and go from person to person asking them for the likes/dislikes etc, this is a good icebreaker and ususally provides a few laughs and eases the atmosphere.

So hope this long winded list helps you and we both hope your party goes with a bang

Glasgow

I used to host male only "gatherings" in my last flat, & with a double sofa bed in the lounge it made 2 rooms where folk could mingle between the 2. & I am starting to host again. I suppose my rules are definitely NO drugs, & I do not host d*unken piss-ups either. If you cannot perform a sexual act or attend an "orgy" without a chemical crutch, then in my view, it really isn't for you.
