Depends really ... As in a social between two people to see if they click n got chemistry etc ... Usually in a pub, coffee shop etc ... The aranged socials for a large number can be in clubs , private get togethers or pubs.
I (mrs) have been to a few in Pubs and if Mr working or away on business , I happy to go alone as met alot of the people before 
Is usually a good eve, plenty of chatting , laughs & Smiles ... Drink or two and a dance thrown in as well Great way ta get your face known and to meet likeminded others |
