There's no such thing as the perfect first message.

Write something interesting, tailored to the recipient and refrain from 'fancy a fuck' style one liners. They're almost guaranteed to end up in the bin.

Dear AB,

Hello there young lady. I am a wealthy, single man who has been unfortunate not to be blessed with children, and am looking for a wife to spend all my money for me, i have so much i don't know what to do with it all any more.

I would love to make you the centre of my world and worship the ground you walk on, submit to you in all ways, and love you forever.

Please reply, i feel i have been looking for you all my life.

Yours, RM.

Failing that, anything fun or something to chat about, which is hard i will admit.

The perfect first message is a well written message from someone you fancy.

After that, a badly written message from someone you fancy comes a very close second.

I've sent well thought out first messages and they've been deleted.

I've sent out cheeky as fuck first messages too and got a response.

In other words. There isn't a perfect first message. Imo.

The last time I posted my take on a sensible opening message, several ladies later told me that they'd received cut'n'pasted versions on their inbox.

I would have thought that it was easy really.

First, attach a nice smiley face picture.

Next introduce yourself... Ideally using the recient's name if available..

Then explain what gave you cause to pick them from all of the wonderful fabbers you've browsed. Ideally referring to things in their profile and pictures.

Finally, explain that if they are interested in you, you'd love to hear back.

Then.... Wait for the outcome... if you get a reply, they're interested, if not.... they're not, move on and forget it.

At least that's my thinking.

Menston near Ilkley

Why not try a few different styles and see which gets a response. As a fellow Leeds Loiner I could rewrite your profile and give you several message styles for you to send out.

Just send me your credit card details and the three digit number on the back.

Everyone's an individual with a different outlook that's what makes others interesting .. Just stay clear of " fancy a shag " type one liners

Like the sound of your profile and would love to have a little chat...

I got face pics I can send or if you fancy it invite me as a friend then you will see some...

I would Say a funny one liner regarding something on there pro description and leave it at that...

A friendly hello basically

Let's do this lol

Ignore the people telling you to write out a C.V lol.

Short and funny wins the day. Be random if you can't be funny. Ask the first thing that pops into your head. Get more responses that way definitely, plus you won't be upset when 90% don't reply to your painstakingly crafted essay.
