Hi all,
These may seem quite tedious to some but it's only just been pointed out to us,
Is wearing an anklet a sign it's ok to approach us or me, when our in a bar for instance
Hubby's 6'2 and quite an intimidating figure but enjoys me swinging, we don't always get time to chat and plan meets on here but if out, would an anklet bracket for instance tell a guy it's safe to say hi, therefore allowing me the chance to see, chat, decide if I'm physically/mentally attracted to a guy.....
I ask this as our job means we spend a lot of our time socialising in bars/clubs all over the UK and thought if it does, well I might try it
Again sorry if it's tedious but it could make our evenings out fun.......
Have fun, happy swinging |

I think a lot of people could end up with a slap!
If your going to have a sign, it must be an original. There are lots of women that wear anklets that have no intention of swinging. Including my 15 year old daughter!!!!!!!! |

Unless it has symbols or letters it can mean many things to different people. If you Google it you will find different answers from different sources...
Some say hooker, others that you are a hot wife, lesbian, black guys only...
What ever it means, they look good... Not sure if it's ever worked as a pulling tool for Frisky... |

Lots of women and teenage girls wear anklets for fashion I dont think it would be right for men to approach someone just because they are wearing one.maybe have something put on the anklet like hotwife or something...... I love anklets |

I did try to stress it was a question, because of what had been pointed out to us, hence asking the 'question' and trying to gauge people's opinion and thoughts, as we/I thought..
So maybe high, get off, horse.... |

Apologies group, someone told us that's how it was suggested, we asked some 'similiar' and 'civilised' people because we had no idea having never even noticed it before.....
Think it's best shutting this one down |

Anklets are hot and as discussed indicate an openness to be approached though some vanilla women wear them too so be careful haha.
RG has one and a toe ring which I think looks so damn sexy. Not been approached yet though! |

I know where you are coming from. There are all kinds of symbols for hotwives if you google but yes it could be misleading so I guess guys wouldn't approach just in case.
Maybe an anklet coupled with a flirtatious glance

Have to say me or my wife hadnt or have never took one glance at 14/15 year olds ankles, let alone in a busy Manchester(or any town/city) bar or nightclub,
Thank you those for the relevant responses |

Anklets are simply jewellery.
Nothing more.
Otherwise I strongly doubt you'd be able to buy them at Argos, H Samuel, Claire's Accessories - or many other big name non-swinging related retailers.
Assuming someone wearing one is sending out any particular message is treading on dangerous ground.

I would say that regardless of what people have told you Op, for many people an ankle bracelet is simply an item of fashion jewellery and nothing more.
A more effective way of meeting men for sex whilst in bars would simply be to get chatting and tell them. |

I think I am being admonished for (intentionally) make light of the original post. However to be serious for a moment who in their right mind would approach a stranger in a pub or other public arena and potentially intrude in to a couples space because of an item of jewellery.
I have flash backs to the Python sketch with Jones and Idle debating if "his wife was a goer" The more I read the OP the more I think a jovial response was measured and considered! |

As much as we like anklets we do find the ones with slut or hotwife tacky. It is a bit of a myth just as much as pampas grass in the front garden and just a bit of fun. |

OP, I think it is you that needs to get off of ones lowly, down trodden horse.
You asked a question it got answered! Nobody said you or your husband scoured the length a breadth of Manc for 14/15 year olds. It was merely pointed out that anklets are worn by teenagers and also many other people. Showing that the question was in reality up for interpretation.
If thought about and not too deeply, how can something so widely worn mean you are a swinger? I.E does having a cob web tattooed on your elbow mean you are a murderer, a man wearing an earring in both ears is gay, a woman in dungarees is a lesbian, red shoes = no knickers? The lists are probably endless. The answers down to common sense. |
