Like anywhere that people know each other there are established groups. Even as a couple it can be hard. But as long as your polite and try to join in with the topic you will eventually break into the groups |

ive been trying for months and just getting annoyed ive joined in but just end up getting blankedwas a gold or ssilver member but not going to keep paying and getting nowhere Thanks for your advice x

I am interested to know from the OP - what gives the impression that the forum is cliquey - it is an open forum so anyone can join in a conversation? Or do you mean just that there are some regular names cropping up? Surely regulars don't exclude others do they - if so then that would be cliquey I think but I haven't seen this happening anywhere on forums. Have been on the receiving end of that kind of behaviour at clubs sometimes though  |

Wouldn't worry, not one for clickie people anyway so just add your own inputs as you see fit. You find clickie people in all walls of life and swinging is no different tbh, in some respects it's even more so. |

oops - too much perving made my proof reading a bit dodgy - apologies - I don't venture into chat rooms yet - how different is it chatting in there as opposed to conversing on forum please? I might venture in. |

I see couples getting loads of attention also single ladies from men asking ( some telling ) women what to do they can be fun if you're spoken to and don't apologise it makes for good reading and chatting means I may have a new friend  |

I like to chat and I am very friendly, genuinely interested in what makes other people tick....maybe I will venture into chat room - where isa good place to start? Do I need camera on to go in chat room (checking hair, tidying room frantically!) |

The chatrooms are an open/public room so when you type everyone can read what you're writing and join in etc.
You can click on anyone within the chat to view their profile.
You can also send and receive private messages if you want to have a more intimate conversation with someone.

I wouldnt say there are 'cliques' as such but you will find that some people are on everynight and so get to know eachother, so they may not be interested in chatting to someone new.
Its hard for single men to get a response in the chatrooms just like it is elsewhere within the site, but if we're on we will literally talk to anyone and everyone because we just have a laugh and there are others like us! Sasha x |

I used to use the chatrooms on a daily basis, it was the main part of the site that I used when I was more active on here.
Yes, people who use chat regularly do get to know each other extremely well so it can sometimes be difficult to get noticed. However, if you perservere and actually add to the conversation around you then you will quickly become a part of things in there.
On the flip side, if all you do is make banal comments about people "looking sexy" or make little effort to join in then topic of conversation then inevitably, you will be ignored.
Think of the chatrooms as a pub you have never visited before.......do all the regulars jump up and envelope you as the heart and soul of the party when they have never met you before? |

We find the sw room like that just get blanked so just use the directing rooms now but only when we are on cam . It can be a lot like Facebook in our local room  |

I kinda see what you are saying...
Takes a certain responsiveness in Chatrooms to get 'noticed'... i'm lucky as i have a large amount of previous experience on Chatrooms so naturally i know how they work and can slide in quite nicely.
Just like the forums... have a presence... takes a bit of patience... Rapports build, and before you know it people are chatting to you |

people who swing are no different to those in 'normal' life - some arseholes, some cliques and some decent people too - that said we know what you mean - the site generally has gone downhill in our opinion - over the past 12 months or so. |

I've made more friends in chat than through forums (and no, I don't get my knockers out). Maybe because my banter and personality come out better on the fly.
Keep at it and join in conversations. Just don't expect to make chums in the directing rooms  |

I've used internet chatrooms for about 18 years, I had my own room on an international site, always loved them until I came on here and fuck me never came across anything like it, ridiculously cliquy and extremely unwelcoming, never been in since and always stuck to the forums |

Like you, I've used chatrooms and forums for about 20 years and also owned my own site. My experience is the opposite of yours, I have found the forums here far more cliquey and chat to be welcoming. Hence why chat is the feature of the site that I use more often |

This 
I don't 'whore myself out' and we are always pretty popular. We've made some good friends through chat in the past.
You get out what you put in, it's no different to say, walking into a club alone for the first time.
