They had to kill him off as in the comics to save a semblance of respectability after the awful dumpster escape/cop out from last season. When Abraham bought it I was ready to give up but when Negan went for Glen I was like 'OK, I'm back in the room now' |

You've got to hand it to Andrew Lincoln tho. His acting when he was forced to cut Carl's arm off was brilliant. I bought into it 100% and you could see the emotion in his face. Episode 2 was a bit random tho lol |

They just wanted to lighten the mood a bit I think and drag out the next step of the negan situation kind of similar to the is glenn dead start to last season. |

The first episode of series 7 should have been the last episode of series 6 but TV execs just love dragging out a cliffhanger.
They've got to up their game with Negan though. He is BAD ASS in the comics. Introducing him on the TV show with a line like 'Are we in pee pee pants city yet?' wasn't a great start |

I am I the only one that is getting bored with it now, it seems to be they find some where to go, start making a new life then some weird psycho group come along and ruin it, death for a few, evade capture, kill bad guy, find new place to live, and repeat |

AMC are obviously restricted but they are filming all his scenes twice with the DVD editions having his usual vocabulary in use |

Nothing like a thread resurrection.
Is anybody else becoming weary of this show? Red and I have been avid followers since the very start and have a sense of loyalty to TWD.
It just feels like they are really dragging the story out. |

I love it so far!
I haven't been able to get t "easy street" out of my head that was playing on repeat when Darryl was in the cell Lol! |

Some people at work hate the new series as it's a bit slow. Personally I'm really enjoying watching how they adapt to the new order of things. There are a few give aways tho that Rick ultimately does have a plan to get to negan. |

He dies exactly like he did in the comic books Abraham was more of a shock as was not in the comics."
In the comics Abraham dies with the arrow through his eye, not the doctor. They kept him alive longer. |

I love Negan...he has a certain pantomine villain quality to him...completely hammed up yet menacing at the same time.
February can't come soon enough, think they've set it all up nicely for the second half of the series |

I don't think he'll die in this season. The guvnor lasted over the course of 2 seasons and he is no where near as good a character as negan is. My own personal thought is that Rick and the gang will revert to guerilla tactics to weaken them and then Rick will take his revenge the same way negan disposed of Glen and Abraham. |
