Because if you don't give out whatsapp you must be a fake? Discretion is gold. On kik you can easily use the camera function to prove real, without giving numbers out and paving the way for weirdos/stalkers. |

Exactly.
I use Kik for people from Fab I've not met before, and once we are playpartners will happily exchange phone numbers and then they can speak to me on What's App. |

I use Kik for people from Fab I've not met before, and once we are playpartners will happily exchange phone numbers and then they can speak to me on What's App."

We have both whatsapp and KIK
Whatsapp is for everyday use and because it's linked to a mobile number we don't wish to disclose that to someone on fab we don't know.
Even if we did arrange a meet, or et a few times we still wary of them having access to our number (you hear alsorts of horror stalking stories)
This is where Kik kicks in 
Kik allows you to get other person, prove who we are giving us same features as whatsapp but without having to share mobile number (at this stage) |

It's not too difficult to fake live pictures on kik - a quick Google search shows that.
We prefer whatsapp as in our (fairly limited) experience, kik has never worked out whereas whatsapp has had a 50/50 success rate.
That's just us though. Everyone else's mileage may vary. |
