What kind of hotel are you looking for? Travel lodge is discreet if you thinking of entertaining or you could try the Indigo Hotel if you want something a bit more private and plush.

If your going to a Travelodge I'd recommend york hull road, York central or York central micklegate. The Layerthorpe one is very family orientated and they do floor walks every hour so any bit of noise gets told to be quite
