Verification

Hi everyone. Just wanted to pick your knowledgable brains on here if I may. I met a couple for a meet. Went exactly how they wanted and everyone left happy. Messaged a couple of times after and all good. However when I asked for a verification they have ignored my request and deleted the message? I thought they may have overlooked or made a genuine mistake in deleting so asked politely again. Same reaction, no response and deleted message with no verification? Does this happen a lot and if it does just wondering why they wouldn’t want to leave one?

Yes it can happen from time to time. I will verify a meeting as it's polite to in my opinion.

I think it's rude too. Even worse when you're a newby and can't make the first move.

Did they display your veri OP? Or any others that you're able to see if they left veris for those people?

Some people just don't believe in the veri system or don't leave them plain and simple.

Or perhaps they didn't feel it went as well as you did but feel awkward about saying so, or maybe they didn't like being asked for one - you may never know.

Either way I'd not sweat it overly - you've got a veri from another meet that shows you're genuine.

We have met a couple of guys off here that didn’t verify us, I think a lot of it comes down to personal preference x

I had the same problem. I meet a couple and i got no verification. Its a little anoying.i did ask twice as well.

We met a man who didn't verify us (we have verified him). He asked us if we'd like a veri and what we'd like him to write on it. We've replied that it's completely up to him what to write and whether to write one. Guess he decided against it as we weren't taking things further after the social.

did the couple have veris themselves if they didn't they can't or perhaps don't like the veri system

I find that slightly rude. Unless they stated to you they don't do veiris then I find it very odd. I'm not realy into veris so I will tell the guy not to bother sending one but I would always give one out unless I'm asked otherwise.

The one thing that would stop me giving a veri, being asked more than once for it.

The main thing in common the two single guys have pointed out they did.

Ask once and leave it, they don't 'owe' you a verification.

Either they just don't want to, they will when they're ready or just maybe the meet wasn't very good and they'd rather say nothing than leave a bad one.
