I tend to find women with large/protruding labia are often self conscious about them... I've often seen them trying to tuck them in when they get naked.

I used to hate long labia! I remember back in school how boys would talk about vaginas and if it wasn't all pretty and tucked in then you'd be be riculded. And growing up with porn you wouldn't see long labia on women and our bits were never really spoken about, you only really heard about vaginas when people would talk about how neat and attractive they can be.
When I first met my partner it took years before I felt comfortable with how down there looked. I didn't let him have a good look for about five years.
I had my baby last year and that was the final boost of confidence I needed. I realised that my fanny is actually very completely normal!
I do think it is being spoke about more these days, that our fannies come in all different shapes and sizes and I LOVE that! I know so many girls who have grown up never feeling good enough so I'm happy that society is more open about it and I notice a lot more variety in porn these days compared to when I was younger. |

Describing a normal body part as a donner kebab and gross IS body shaming.
It isn't like we are talking about an inanimate object or something on your plate that you don't want to eat. You're talking about a vagina that belongs to a person with feelings. It's shitty to throw around comments like that. I've seen a few women on this website who are embarrassed to show people how they look down there and it's people like you who add to the pressure they already feel. |

The sooner we get on with life the better.
People say horrible things all the time but what can we do about it?
Learn to deal with this better because no matter what happens or changes made to society, people will always think bad about something.

As I mentioned in an earlier comment, a lot of women are self conscious about long or uneven labia. I would have hoped a thread like this might show them that the vast majority of guys like a bit of variety and many actively prefer long labia...

Years ago i was conscious of them being uneven and tbh thought it was my fault from playing with them. I considered a vaginoplasty. But ive realise we r all different and i kinda like them now. We all have preferences, but when I see or here someone referring to them in that way it makes me so mad! I'm 100% happy in my own skin now, I refuse to take insults personally, it's the ladies battling self image issues I feel for.

Been thinking about this a little bit, there was a lady called Chrissy who did the full Monty stand up to cancer thing. She had her vuvla and part of her vagina removed due to cancer.
Imagine the strength that took for her to overcome something like that, imagine how her perception of her body had changed. Imagine if she was less than supported, in fact ridiculed about how she looked now after the surgery.
I don't see anything gross in it, what I see is strength, a survivor, and someone wanting to inspire others and save others from going through the hell she went through.
So, before we shame.... how about we think eh?

Me too! But it’s less about the look, but the fact it is super sensitive and I find more often people cause pain/discomfort when playing with it than the other one :/ It can actually make me wince if people just go straight in too hard and too fast.
