I frequently drop a lady or couple a brief message to say that whilst perusing new photos, profiles of interest etc how much I enjoyed seeing their photos/pics
Do you think that it is appreciated generally or not?

OP.. I’ve found it works with some people, some others it’s just brushed passed. But I suppose it’s the same with all messages. You win some you lose some |

I appreciate comments on our pics. I think it's lovely someone has taken the time to send a msg and I always reply but if there's no attraction the conversation doesnt go much further than very tiny small talk.  |

I always appreciate compliments, however if D opens the message he's a little more blunt and likely with not respond.
I will however though, if the conversations moves on and I'm not particularly interested I shall just say unfortunately not my type etc xx |

Yeah I guess it is a bit win some, lose some
I am not trying to engage in conversation really. Just willing to express admiration or perhaps some cheer.
If somebody ever (unlikely as it is as 1) male & 2) only showing avatar photo) then I would definitely send a 'thank you' back |

Why don’t you just fab the pics and show your appreciation that way?
I’ve found if I reply saying thanks, that most think it’s an opening to chat more and nine times out of ten they haven’t bothered to read my profile so now I don’t say anything and just delete their message. |

I do both
It doesn't have to open a conversation and frequently doesn't unless the appraised so wishes and induces it. If I get a 'thank you' then I slip away quietly |
