Why do some members not like winks? Surely it's a perfectly acceptable way to show an interest. A wink says "hi, I'm interested", so wink back if you're interested too.

I did wonder the same because I agree with you. I have heard from others than some consider winking lazy - just send a message if you are interested.

How would I know if I was interested without reading a profile and if I read every profile that winked this would be a full time job

I am much more likely to miss a wink than message. I just think you may aswell message, it portrays a lack of confidence or effort to me otherwise

We get so many winks from people with nothing on their profile. So we dont bother with them as much now.

Really don't understand their logic when they wink with no pics or bio to look at. How are we supposed to know if they are worth winking back?

I like winks. One of my best meets started with a wink. Its a way of showing interest without messaging.

We don't care about them either way, but we never react to them and would never message someone just because they've winked us

To be entirely honest I'm not sure! It was the same when Facebook used to have pokes, just never responded to them because we didn't see the point of it

For me i think winks are good. If i winked at someone they can then take a look and see if they want to wink back or not, however if i send a message they might feel obliged to feply as not to appear rude and then have to awkwardly say they dont like me.
