Take a look at the Daily Mirror website regarding the 17 immigrants discovered on the nudist beach with symptoms of fever and some from Sierra Leone, etc

Other international news media are now reporting this incident. Authorities state none tested positive. Given proximity to Africa good to be cautious and don't need to swing with immigrants to catch it...

"Oh shit! Off the list for a long long time. Feel sorry for those who are there or booked to go "

Do you get money to promote Cap d'Agde and destroy other holiday's reputation?

France, by the way, has the highest African population in the EU, and we will still go to eat Froglegs and "des moules"

There is no need to promote Cap D'Agde already 1000's of European and international visitors holiday here every year although it does amaze us how few Brits have heard of the place. We would have posted the information on the Ebola scare no matter where it occurred.

Scare when in the USA you need to pay half million USD when you have ebola, thats the case of the second case found outside Africa

Fortunately in Europe it is covered, and the lady is now recovered

And the news about Ebola Africans running around Canary Islands are a low class joke, and gossips better to avoid by educated fellows

Sadly no low class joke, take a look at the photos on the news reports.

They arrived illegally by small boat

They were arrested and blocked by the police

Some, with fever, were sent to a hospital to be checked whether they had ebola or malaria

None had ebola

And will be go through the EU procedure whether they stay as refugees or returned to their home Countries

Thats the news in other newspapers... Quite different

Not different, exactly as we brought to people's attention. Just need to be careful.

If you look through some of their posts you will see that they are always quick to put down PDI as a swinger resort and rave about Cape d'agde.

Never been to Cap d'adge but I am sure it is great...but so is PDI/Maspalomas.

As you say, please don't try and spoil out holiday with scare stories.

If they are really so concerned about us in PDI why close their post's with smiley faces?

“The 19 migrants landed on the Maspalomas nudist beach on Wednesday morning after travelling in an open boat from the continent.

Local and national police isolated the group of migrants after it emerged two were suffering from a fever - amid fears they could be infected with Ebola.

However, following epidemiological tests, the Canarian government said there was no need to activate emergency protocols, and the migrants - reported to have looked exhausted but in good health - were taken to a shelter”.

But hey, why let the fact’s spoil a good scare story...

We have never put Gran Canaria down as you suggest? We think it's a great place for a winter holiday. It will never compare with Cap D'Agde in summer but that's just our opinion. The smiley faces were to reflect the information was provided with good intent.

I think you may be suffering from selective memory syndrome.

Here is one of your latest posts.

“As suggested Canaries is ok isssh for the winter when there is no where much else in Europe but don't expect a massive scene".

Cap D'Agde in summer has a population of 40,000 mostly couples, numerous clubs and bars, two dedicated couples only resorts and so much more”.

This is one of your recent post’s a bit different from “We think it's a great place for a winter holiday”.

You clearly have an agenda backed up with your delight at being the bearer of bad news.

No you are 'nit picking' for whatever reason and though its none of your business we have been several times ourselves. It's sad you accuse us of having an agenda but sure others will see it for what it is.

I hope you are not trying to use dirty tactics in an attempt to promote your Cap d'Agde leisure business that arranges swingers holidays.

This stinks of desperation.

I think they were just informing people of the facts.

As holidays at Cap d'Adge are really only from late April to end of September, so doesn't really affect winter holidays in Gran Canaria.

How is saying, "Oh shit! Off the list for a long long time. Feel sorry for those who are there or booked to go", informing us of the facts?

The facts are that this is a none story re Ebola in GC.

All that happened was a boat full of refugees landed on a beach, were rounded up by the authorities, were tested, were found to be healthy and have now been detained.

Think BigDodger was commenting on our original post regarding what the media were reporting on the incident which we posted in the forum in good faith. Not sure you should be copy and pasting others opinions posted on the forums on a separate thread but more level headed users will see the post for what it was an intent for fellow swingers to stay safe.

Spain and Bristol

we have been 6 times in Cap d'Agde

Once all our belongings dissapeared from the balcony, beach towels, tshirts, and a small radio

Twice we had a very bad time late in the afternoon in the way to a swinger club by groups of Northafricans, no need to explain, all know

Another time, our wallet gone on the beach, and again same kind of Northa..., we guessed, cannot prove.

Still, we will keep visiting both places, Cap and PDI.

Where do we feel more safe? in PDI, or more in Switzerland but there it is cold

Just read thread from start to finish and yes to me it seems alarmist and intended to promote Cap and put people off PDI. And no explanation would convince me otherwise. It is what it is.

You must be unlucky. Before we moved here we holidayed here for over 10 years and never experienced any of the above. Crime is now so low here you no longer see much of a police presence.

the Cap is a summer resort - whereas GC is all year. Unless your coming for New Year GC would win hands down, so can't see the rational in your conclusion. Better to be aware than go there in ignorance surely?

Thought this post was about Ebola scare in gran canaria not a bitch fest about who prefers to visit where. Myself and Russianbabe saw the truck just after lunch on Wednesday with the immigrants in the back whilst drinking at kiosk4. Numerous Red Cross and police vehicles up and down, masks and gloves on. We both joked it must be a training exercise for Ebola outbreak. I pity the poor people in the truck that feel they must take the trechorous journey in a poxy little fishing boat for the minute chance of a better life elsewhere. No wonder they were showing fever after days at sea in 30 degrees heat then held on the beach for 5 hours. I Wish them a speedy recovery and hope some people would reflect that these people are still humans and not just think oh shit we all might catch Ebola. Just food for thought. X
