Hello Bez,
we stayed there about three years ago, it was quite quiet, being a bit off season, however it's a small place. Two or three restaurants\bars and a small supermarket.
Lanzarote is quite nice and one place we really enjoyed and had a lovely meal, was Omar Shariffe's house, amazing place now a tourist spot.
Nice for a relaxing holiday but not very lively, even at peak times I can't see much going on there. I would suggest that a hire car is essential.
