OK guys we went in there to have a look tonight. The guy who runs it is a really nice guy and definitely deserves a chance. It's small with 3/4 tables but intimate. There is also a playroom there available should anyone feel the urge. Prices are OK and its not open so that anyone passing can see who is there, unlike comeback bar. Than we would rather go there now as its on the lower level of Cita centre, so yes we are giving it plusses. Owner intends putting up a chalk board so that anyone interested in some fun can place a message.

Its a little gem of a place, in our opinion. Good atmosphere, good music and reasonable prices.
We went in July. Jean made us feel very welcome... As did a few locals that frequent the bar most nights.
It was quiet, but to be totally expected in July.
We can't wait to go back in March and see how well its done over the high season. Fingers crossed all Jean's hard work has paid off.  |

Been last 3 nights so different to the comeback bar , guy that runs it can't do enough prices half the comeback good mix of people both UK and other countries. Well worth a try and next door to a swingers club, great playroom as well |

This sounds like the place to be! Never was very keen on Comeback Bar. Hope Poison bar does well!

Gerry the happy one the ex of Martin of comeback bar has been in poison few nights recently, full of the cheeky chappy the comeback now sadly lacks. Poison is going ok been most nights this holiday and quite a few British I have met in the clubs are now going there rather than comeback. Give it a go |

So pleased that things are going OK for Jean. We went to poison every night on our holiday in July and Gerry never failed to make an appearance and had us in stitches every night.

We were never fans of comeback bar, always try out new bars in GC. This bar is very very small, not sure if that's a negative or positive. A more than adequate playroom with wc and shower is a massive bonus. Another wc in main bar. Drinks are 2€ small beer, 3€ spirit & 2€ soft drink (think that's about right). The biggest plus are the owners both really friendly. Lots of bars have come and gone but hope this one survives, they deserve too. We will use it again. |

We're just back from 12 nights in PDI & called into Poison most nights. We totally agree with the other posts. Jean & Linda are fantastic hosts & can't do enough for you. Reasonably priced drinks (cherry vodka shots....mmmmmm) & a very nice playroom which saw some action on several nights.
It is small but we don't think that's a bad thing at all and it's much more private & cosy (& cheaper) than the Comeback Bar. Jean & Linda also have the same tastes in fetish as us and ended up buying a pair of our vampire gloves.....they have such good taste!! They may be displaying them at their bar soon too!
We wish them every success.....much deserved.....and recommend everyone to check out their bar |

Just got back from GC this weekend. Called in Poison a few times last week. Jean and Linda very nice people very helpful, they even brought some cider in special !!
It is small, more intimate and cheaper than Comeback and right next to the clubs.

Been in this fab little bar most nights over the last 10 days. Linda and Mr Linda are the perfect hosts, the cherry vodka shots are sooooo lovely and its only a few yards to Fun4All, which has definately lived upto its name over the last few nights!

Been nearly to all bars in pdi ..never seen bar where u pay 1.50 for large beer!
I am very happy with prices in poison .. well and dont forget it not just bar !! They have a shower room and play room lol !! |

It was my first time in a swingers meeting bar. I felt so relaxed and had a great time. The drinks were great and it was full of beautiful people I will definitely be back!x |

We are a real swinger bar
That means that we have a play rooms and shower....space Where we can't put tables and chairs in.
We don't charge anything for that.
We are NOT a Swinger Meeting Point
In our bar everybody can do anything every Where. Nobody can look inside and there are only swingers!
And compared to other Bars we have normal prices.
And beer full of foam?
NO...Not at all
You can't afford our bar?
No Problem
But why writing about us like that?

I think will make Poison our new home Linda and Mr Linda are an amazing couple who cant do enough of you...the bar is great fun and its very clean with a big comfy play room with lots of things supplied at no extra charge....drinks are very very cheap and the measures are HUGE! Cant ask for more really ...ps Mr Linda does great free hand tattoos |

We can definatley agree with the above post we spent our last three nights @ poison met some great couples
Not only are the drinks very reasonably priced Mr & Mrs Linda have a wonderfull prop selection
Will definatley be back next year

Had rain on Tuesday night but we were at kiosk 4 for 5 hours yesterday! Breezy though as usual! Today is hot and very windy, so we've stayed at our apartment using our balcony to sunbathe on. |

The wind is always a problem in GC, we find. We love the beach, but I hate getting sandblasted. |

We don't like these kind of threads as a) you don't know what is driving the persons response or b) who is making the comments - especially when they are being negative about other bars/ clubs.
For what it's worth, here are our observations.
We visited Poison on Wednesday evening to meet people that we had been chatting to via the site and had had a great day on the beach. So, it's friends night - free drink for introducing friends - and we met for happy hour. No cocktails, no drinks out of the ordinary. We asked Jean for our bill and he said €38. We thought that this sounded as though we had benefited from the offers. Jean came back from the bar with another bill for €35 for our drinks. We thought we had a tab for the table but apparently not. So €73 for 4 of us to have about 4 /5 drinks each. Still not bad value and we paid after a brief chat about the 2 bills. No receipts as there doesn't appear to be a till so we couldn't really check anything. Jean was on his own - as Linda was ill (hope your ok now!) - and he really is a great host - as I'm sure Linda is too!
We - like most on here - normally use Comeback bar. We were in GC for the first time this April and were in 4/5nights whilst there. We went in on Monday night to be greeted like long lost friends! He immediately went to the bar and returned with Caramel vodka shots - an addiction for us that lives on today! - on the house. We were in again last night and were last to leave. I have a till receipt in front of me now so I know exactly what I got and what we paid for it. €3.50 for over half a tall glass of spirit is cheap by UK standards, if not the island. €2 for bottled mixers also.
We met _icplsw in 2X2 who have 15 years experience of GC and they told us their thoughts - and where to get the cheap drinks and food also - smashing couple!
As an aside, 3 times in 2X2 this week and never had a bill over €28! And we like a drink! Fun4all last night - where we have never been before - €33, all we had was 2 drinks each. The most generous measures so far, but I guess there must be a cover charge of some sort in there. Absolutely cracking place, with great hosts and crowd also, so that is where we are spending our final weekend! Love it!
I guess the point I make is that all of these places need our support so that we can enjoy ourselves when we come here for the lifestyle choice that we make. Each of these venues offers something different and are run by different, diverse personalities. We could have queried the bill in Poison to make sure that we got the benefits as advertised but we didn't - because we enjoyed ourselves! We could have queried the bill in Fun4all but didn't - because we had a blast! We wouldn't dare query our bills in 2X2 - they seemed too cheap already! But only one venue gave us a receipt that detailed exactly what we got and for how much!
If I am honest, I don't look at bills or pay attention to prices when I'm on holiday - much to Caz's annoyance - because I base my opinion on how much fun I had and was that worth it rather than how much it cost!

Thank you _anbr, good post! Must admit, we only go in 2x2 club now. Always good value for money for what we get and the fun we have! If you are members on their website, you do get a VIP card, and in the first hour of opening, it is happy hour. Drink measures are always generous and often have free shots. They do normally show us on our bill what we have had and it has never been wrong. I do think when you have the tab system, clubs and bars should provide a bill at the end, so there is no confusion! |

Comeback is the only bar with a price list on every table and on the bar. Whether you drink lager, spirits or cocktails, you know exactly what you are going to pay and as with every bar, over half a tall glass of spirit is the measure. If you run a tab, at the end of the evening you get your handwritten tab plus a till receipt. That till is preprogrammed with descriptions and prices, so that is what you are charged. Last night we met friends there and paid €46 - they had 4 drinks each, we had 3 each. We could have done our own bill and left the correct money for it.
If I go into Tesco's and buy Heinz Beans, I know they'll cost me 80P. I also know that I can go to Lidl or Aldi and buy beans for 15P or less.
I see that you are from Glasgow so I'm sure you go out in Ashton Lane, as we do in George Street in Edinburgh. I know I'm going to pay no less than £5 per drink, no matter what I drink. It's the same drink, in a city where I can get the same drink but cheaper.
The friends that we met in Poison agreed that given what was advertised - free drink for bringing a friend; half price drinks for happy hour - that our bill at €73 was way too high. But we couldn't check it (see point above about Comeback, 14 drinks €46 versus 16 for €73) as Jean just had scraps of paper and no till receipt. If that were here in the UK, they'd be done for false advertising.
But, guess what? We paid the bill and left because we enjoyed ourselves. If we allowed ourselves to dwell on it, then yes we felt ripped off in Poison.

We are in Poison at the moment and counted 5 drink menus. They are now on each table and at the entrance too. They were always here but they were stolen many times and so Jean decided to save and show only at the bar. But now everyvody can everywhere look and proof...
And we always get shots for free too

When we were in Poison we were never ripped off...in fact there were a few times we questioned the bill because we were sure Jean had not charged us enough....and yes we got loads of free shots too

And we also questioned if the bill was correct as it seemed far too cheap even by PDI standards
but agree we need to support all clubs that cater for our chosen lifestyle
