MANCHESTER

Staying in Abu Dhabi for a long weekend at the end of the month 28th - 30th. Not actually booked a hotel yet, as I know there are a few Ex Pats living in Abu Dhabi was hoping to tap into some local knowledge on where is best to stay area, hotel wise, for nightlife etc??

Any replies and info would be most welcome

Thank you x

For ‘night life’ somewhere on Yas is best.

For nice hotels, Saadiyat island - St. Regis, Rotana, Hyatt, Jumeirah.

For city, Jumeirah Etihad Towers, Four Seasons.

Not the biggest party scene here though.

That weekend will be F1 weekend I think. Nightlife in Dubai is always better. Try hooking up with Richlist. Their parties are really good.

You’ll struggle to get a hotel on Yas that weekend, so I would suggest the St. Regis on Saadiyat. Good crowd there on the weekends, probably some like minded people very nearby!

Anyone who lives in UAE can you confirm if Dubai/Abu Dhabi are allowing Tourism in yet? If not is there any news on when it might be? Thanks

Dubai is pretty much open for business. Social distancing is generally practiced, but all hotel beaches, etc are pretty much business as usual.

Abu Dhabi is now starting to open up as well, with facilities only available for residents.

Etihad and Emirates are operating flights, but as I understand it you’ll need a reference number (which essentially allows you into the country) before they will even let you board the plane in the U.K.

The weather is really hotting up though now ....
