We stay near Albufeira ... Priya Grande near Salgados is clothing optional to the west if the rocky outcrop so nudists and textiles mingle ... There may be some play in the dunes but nothing like Maspalomas on GC.

That is a very accurate description but I think Praia Grande (Salgados) is the closest you will find to beach play in the central Algarve.

Not just praia grande there are some in Lagos and further west
