hi all, KTM Adventurer here old style 640 LC4, in the Lakes , all weather and on/off road though its a bit of a handfull hah! not waiting for summer out now especially after the rains washed all the bloody salt away, why dont they use ash as in other cold countries, provides grip but doesnt rot the bikes or the road.

Yeah it's the matt one, the red one in our pics got stolen ( in fact a week after the pics were taken) so replaced with the new model ( bike not partner

Having read the thread and hopefully we are going depending on the final date, it looks like there is opportunities for singles to pair up as there seems to be some interest in new pillion mates? Could be a great way of meeting new partners?

I suppose you could read it like that OR think it through taking into account that this is the first one of these organised and the couple doing it are new to it and don't have the time to check every singles profiles and veris to find the 'good' ones.

I can understand why its couples only, but i don't agree on the reasoning.

It wasnt meant to be a negative about the rally, and it certainly wasn't a bitch at people arranging it.

I suppose just the 'single man' comment.

Does anyone else 'Name' their bike or is it a no no?

I have a 535 and an 1100, both viragos but no they dont have names, i think its a girly thing.... but i stand to be corrected !

Ride a red Kawasaki Ninja (ZX-6R 636), and very shortly upgrading this to a ZX-10R before I head to the Black Forest and the TT this summer.

Anyone else like having fun on the bikes, while having fun on the bikes? (Keeping your kit ON, of course....)

yes done many years and hundreds of thousands of pounds on bike, TT is great, but I am hanging my keys up this year so I will be selling my 4xv Yamaha r1 if any one interested

has a very good private plate on it. Be sad to see it go.

Have a zx9 ninja. W reg 24000miles . Still looks good. Wheels need blasted and painted but its still in good nick. May upgrade in summer to zx14. Or zx10 as it has to be kawasaki. Any bikers in edinburgh give me a shout

We can now confirm that the first ever BIKE SWING is going ahead on 9th-11th of Aug 2013 at a private location in Derbyshire ,

It is a couples only event with a very small amount of selected singles ,

We have sole use of the campsite and a private room above the pub for our use with a fully stocked bar including a real ale ,

The pub does very good food and is doing us a 2 for £10 deal ,

There are 24 hr toilets and shower,

We are sorry but the pub does not do breakfasts.

Onsite will be a marquee for you to socialise in PLUS a play tent for well you know lol ,

Now for the unique part , what other bike rally offers you FREE tea and coffee until noon sat and sun morning PLUS there will be a toaster and microwave available 24 hrs ( so bring your loaf and ready meals ) we are doing this to try and save you carrying cookers etc ,

There will be electric points in the marquee for you to use i.e. phone charging , curlers , straighteners etc , We will also have a standard ( small fitting )airbed pump onsite,

Fri & Sat evenings there will be music in the private room & There will be( all being well ) a ride out on sat ,

There will be trophies for best bike and furthest traveled ,

You are more than welcome to bring your own alcohol on to the campsite but not in the pub,

The town center is a 5 min walk away and the bikeing mecca that is Matlock bath is just a short ride away ,

Sadly because of regulations on the campsite and room we have to limit this event to 70 so it is very much so a first come first served basis ,

There will be NO pay at the gate unless pre arranged with Bren.

Entrance is by ticket only and a £5pp deposit is required ( full refund if we or the venue cancel )

On recieving your deposit tickets will be sent out same day and balance to be paid on arrival where you will receive your wristband and then enjoy ,

To respect the landlords wishes of keeping the details of the venue private until more or less the time of the rally The location of the event will be e,mailed to all ticket holders on the 7th of aug.

All motorcycles and trikes are welcome and if you and your partner wish to use a bike each even better ,The only thing we ask is that if you have patches or club regalia of any kind please leave it at home ,

The cost of the rally is £40 per unit for fri and sat night but as i will and a few others will be there on the thurs setting up if you wish you can camp on the thurs ( 8th ) at a cost of £10pp extra ,

If you are unsure on ANYTHING please call Bren and im sure we can sort out any queries etc you may have ,

From a question posted in the forums ( does anyone think a swingers bike rally would be a good idea )to it actually going ahead has took some organising and cost but but we are there, so come on sexy bikers of the uk lets make BIKE SWING 2013 a real success and hopefully a annual event .

Just a head's up to Fab members before I advertise wider. I live in the Isle of Man and have recently moved into a property where I can offer a couple of spare rooms over the TT race fortnight - 25 May till 7 June.

Won't waste anyone's time going into detail about how amazing this event is. If you're into bikes you will love this!

Just ask someone who's been and they will probably confirm accomodation is nearly impossible to find at this stage. Would not recommend staying in a tent after last year's weather!
