In general busier at weekend than weekday when OP was thinking of going of course but weather doesn't look great for this weekend. Went last year on a sunny weekend with my partner and a few people around including couples but not super busy. Well lots of men of course  |

Haven't been this year but went last year with lady friend and yes some couples but it's hit and miss and some people have little tents for privacy

Well that was different.
I have played at St O a few times over the last year. Always found single men rwspectful and polite.Today I took a friend and I have to say the whole feel and atmosphere felt different. As soon as we left the car park we had single men follow us to the beach and plonked themselves close to us. Not one of them tried to engage us in conversation, just stared at us all the time.
To cap it all when a fully dressed bloke decided to walk past us at a distance of 5ft and I enquired if the beach wasn't wide enough for him he decided to inform me that he was some kind killer for hire in a previous career. All I can say is fuck me James bond you have let yourself go.

Must be Mondays. I was there yesterday with a lady and nobody followed us. A few were walking up and down as usual. Slightly more surprising was how many were fully clothed walking past even down the swinging part and some young girls in bikinis and a family with kids a bit closer to the beginning of the naturist part than felt comfortable. |

There's a good, small and pretty quiet naturist beach down in this South Western end of town, that I first visited last Summer, with a friend of mine (at her suggestion, surprisingly!): it very quickly became a favourite destination of last year and, when Summer remembers to start, it will be THIS year too, hopefully. |

I went today but the weather wasn’t great. Only one other guy and a clothed couple wondering I’m certain what the crazy fool was doing on a deserted beach. Travelled a long way to get there and it was my first time going so wanted to see it through. Very liberating being naked. Would love to go again some time.
I parked in seawick and climbed over the metal staircase. I think I was in the right area.
If anyone is a seasoned visitor and doesn’t mind sharing the best way to get there and where the various different areas are I would be grateful.

Sounds like you was in the right area just the wrong day. Thursdays are often quieter and the weather wasn't great. Friday is normally the busiest weekday and Saturday afternoons.
The area is kind of split in to 3 parts. First part naturist, the end near the fence is gay/bi and the middle is couples who may like to play or just like being watched.
Like all places it's very hit and miss.

I might go tomorrow if this crazy heat continues.
I’ve been going for some years, but I’m quite happy to enjoy the freedom and peace of it. It’s a big beach, so it’s easy to find a large empty spot to sit and relax in. I’ve never once been bothered by anyone there, and that’s fine by me.
Honestly, I’ve never quite got my head around where all the boundaries are either (it’s 95% blokes, so how do you gauge where the gay bit starts?). Only on one occasion did I ever see anyone playing there, but saying that, I stick to the beach and don’t venture into the “hairy” (grass) bits. |

I was there yesterday and the tide was ridiculously high, which made the whole thing more close quarters than usual. I’ve checked the tides and it seems to be the same this week (I’m available, so might go again).
Also saw the famous older man with Sainsbury’s carrier bag walking back and forth all day. It takes all sorts. |

So, there’s a couple of rusted out boilers on the beach that have been there for years. I was there today, and just after that, there was a cute lady noshing off on a few blokes. Is it safe to assume that’s a suitable marker for where the “playing” part of the beach starts? Seemed to be the case (at least today, anyway). |

Never been to St Osyth beach but really want to give it a try, but get put off by the comments about single males and don't want to be perceived as "one of them". I don't want any action, or to perve over anyone else there, but just get naked outdoors and walk up and down the beach and possibly just sit and chill out for a bit. |

Just go there and do your own thing. First part of the nudist beach is mainly sun bathers but lots of people get up and go for a wander see what's going on or just to have a chat with people. |

Super curious, I’ve not been a nudist beach in years and not been to st oysth. Is it like other beaches where it’s split in to separate areas and am I like be approached to engage in activities. Would be against this at all but I’m socially awkward as it is wouldn’t wanna get my self in to trouble lol |

It is sort of split, first area seems to be mainly naturists with a small percentage of swingers.
Second area is a larger percentage of swingers and some set up in the dunes / heath areas.
Third area tends to be the Gay area.
Not sure you’ll get approached although it does happen from time to time. |
