Hello hello,

Myself and a friend are going to be in Newcastle next weekend and looking for a bit of local advice on the best bars and spots for a couple of 42 year old guys looking to have a good laugh and some fun.

Thanks in advance.

North Shields

Depending on your type of scene, my go to’s are:

Gunner Tavern is a very relaxed sociable pub/bar cross. (Also very close to the train station)

Trillians is a more alternative/rock bar, everyone is very welcoming and will very easily find a group to chat to.

That's great, thank you.

I know there's no shortage of bars, we just don't want to walk in somewhere and it looks like we're there to pick up our kids haha

Not here

If you are looking for a decent pint, The Bridge ( at the end of the High Level Bridge) and the Crown Posada down towards the Quayside are both worth a visit.
