Hi all, as someone who gets tested at the sexual health/GUM clinic very regularly, the staff give me the heads up when things are off locally. Last visit the staff informed me that Syphilis is spreading exponentially in the west midlands - they suspect because people are taking ‘prep’ that they think they are safe from all STI’s - not true. So if you don't already get tested every 3 month minimum but specifically get checked for syphilis and wrap up stop spreading potentially deadly infections, too many are now resistant to antibiotics.
