Pubs Leeds cc which are best?

We like to go out for a drink in Leeds but it seems most places are either slow and old or young and lairy!

We aren’t the youngest but still youthful

We find the best ones sometimes to be the rougher as have down to earth, wierd and wonderful people and you can at least have a good natter and socialise. That’s much better than some of the trendy ones where you end up not speaking to anyone in there at all!

Where does everyone like going for a good night in Leeds?

Leeds

Came on this thread to suggest whitelocks.

If you like a pub a bit more ‘down to earth’. Try the three legs.

Especially if you like a bit of karaoke x

Thanks

I tend to find the calls to be quite cold and hence usually avoid it, not to mention the amount of trouble that seems to go on down there, but yes I guess that’s probably later on when we are back home in bed lol.

Will have to give Rolland’s a chance and see!

The three legs is definitely interesting for having a drink in, more enjoy an old skool dj than karaoke but it’s great that people want to let go and really enjoy themselves

I think the 40+ crowd are to be found afternoon drinking. Home around 8pm for strictly etc.

I also like the character of the rougher pubs, but generally gravitate to anywhere with virtual/video darts.

Yes we tend to run out of steam by 12, but still wish our age group was a bit more lively, miss the old days when clubs were good and played good dance music! Couldn’t stay out until morning anymore tho lol

Virtual darts that’s a new one

If you like a drink in the day time (as opposed to night time drinking) head to Viaduct Showbar. It’s a gay bar. Every time we have been mid afternoon it has been rammed with Hen Parties, groups etc. The reason is a DJ called Mr Orry. He plays the greatest songs but rarely shuts up on the mic taking the piss. If you don’t like bad language or are easily offended then ignore this recommendation. If you are not bothered by it and are up for a laugh you will love this bar.

Adel, Leeds

I was in an Irish bar on Greek street this week and that was pretty good - really good live music on!

Depending on the time of day - I love Friends of Ham, great place to sit and people watch!

Whitlock’s always good, Turks head as well! Head of steam on park row is also pretty good!
