We're visiting Liverpool for just one night on Sunday 21st August. We're not from the area and have never been to Liverpool before, just stopping over for a break we're visiting from Bristol. Agreed Sgt peppers, rubber soul, Erics but the whole city centre is a great place for a good night out I have been lucky enough to spend lots of time around Liverpool 1

Sadly Matthew street has turned into a very expensive tourist trap over the past couple of years. It's full of out of town groups who can get shall we say "A bit lively" on a Saturday night".
Our advice would be to visit the friendlier ( and more reasonably priced) areas around Gt Charlotte street and Central Station -even down toward Duke street. A good variety of bars from Karaoke to traditional old Pubs. Either way I'm sure you'll have a great time. |
