"Pretty sure men of all nationalities do that at some point."
He’s worded that like he’s talking to someone in Scotland but still made an arse of it!
What he means is....
Do American women like Scottish men? |

American lass living in Scotland. I like to burst the “Scottish male” image that most Americans have. A large portion of Scottish men are not burly, round chested rugged men but quite the contrary. They tend to be short (compared to average American lad), scrawny and pale AF. This is because of a lack of sunlight. However take the same genes out of Scotland and you get some handsome burly men.
Oh - they also tend to have a weird chin that grows as they get older and super thin lips.

I am Scottish I do not look like that Jamie dude in Outlander I hate porridge I don’t wear a kilt
I’m more like Jack and Victor in Still Game - if you don’t know it, it’s the greatest Scottish comedy TV series of all time and probably the most realistic - it also contains the best comedy line ever uttered on TV
Boaby The Barman- Hey Jack have you put on some weight ?
Jack: Aye Boaby- every time I shag your wife she makes me a sandwich |

"I am given to understand that even a smattering of grammar, syntax and the ability to spell would be useful in your quest."

And yes they do like their drink! That is not a stereotype.
To an American, They act like they are drinking for the 4th July every weekend. Oh and they don’t age out of drinking. Like it’s excepted that a 20 year old lad in America to get pished regularly but if they are doing the same thing at 35, they have an alcohol problem. Not in Scotland - they are still getting d*unk like a 20y.o when they are 50. |
