My thoughts it wasn't bat soup, but over a period of time the worst weather in a vast amount of countries. I'm being to think it traveled via storms, attached to the planes any thing its able to live on. There's so many ways of then picking it up in other parts of the world and between humans then. My theory but I do believe that it was a test that went wrong.
Remember sailbury England all that cleaning they had to do. And those two men they thought or did do it how easy they came in disappeared entering a small town that no one had noticed .. |

Chinese industrial/military waste mixed with human waste picked up by local wildlife from the nearby river, gets in food chain, also air born from stagnant pools of aforementioned waste, people living nearby breathing it in.
Plus getting into upper atmosphere and transported by weather systems around the world.
