3500 new cases yesterday approx but who, where, how?
They must have the data? Also , what ages?
We are being told to stay away from beaches and beauty spots but we have no idea if anyone has contracted the virus as a result. After two months in lockdown how can anyone be catching it still? Apart from the brave people on the frontline. |

Second wave is likely coming but I hope it will be manageable and brief. Pre lockdown large events took place (racing etc) and the figures went up. Packed Beaches, parks etc may kick this off. I pray that the return to school doesn’t bite us on the arse as well...patience and common sense people! |

Some of these are people who are being tested because they have symptoms or are hospital admissions, include the timescale from the VE day celebration infections, which is good news as it's not horrific as we thought it might be, next weekend is the timescale for the weekend infections just before phase 2 started and they will be interesting to see if we continue the trend as we continue mixing with each other |

Considering there were over 20 positive cases in the care home in my GP practice this week - care homes is your answer. Its sad but really not relevant to the wider publics risk |

Frontline worker catches it doing their job. Despite social distancing infects someone in supermarket. Supermarket person spreads it to family.
... Even assuming everyone is being super cautious, frankly, shit happens. |

It is not by age it is rather a metabolic pandemic where there are already underlying conditions and deficiencies such as vitamin d, patients with diabetes represents 20 to 50% of the covid 19 patients. |

because loads of people are still working who are not NHS or care staff, not everyone is isolated like so many seem to think. The government never made factories and things like this close, some did but many have stayed open and worked throughout, I am one of these. |

basically its the north where hotsports are..
yorkshire and the north east had the highest number of cases.... followed by the north west!
in the north west... i know the biggest spots in the north west were in the lake district and the cumbrian coast.... |

There has been incredibly high adherence throughout to the lockdown.
Whilst the testing regime has increased its capability, with most people selected due to likely infections, it's inevitable that the volume of people testing positive could rise, whilst we're in a state of catch-up.
A few thousand people outside of health and care services, when we have an r value of less than, or up to 1, is going to be streaming through testing facilities for a while, especially if the infected know who they may likely have infected. The health and care services staff are still slowly winding their way through testing and it's sadly likely that some are still getting infected.
We're presumably going to have some increase to infections from our relaxations but we're having to guess atm, because of our deficits of longer term testing data.
We can each carry on doing our bit, taking care and looking out for us all. |
