The virologist involved in the film Plandemic has been accused of scientific misconduct and has joined a bunch of cranks.

The claims it's manmade are political and have no basis in evidence.

Conspiracy theorists are having a field day, but that doesn't mean they have any evidence either.

I'm in Aberdeen, I'm now in week 3 of a local lockdown, all because the locals including the Aberdeen football team couldn't help themselves because a pint was far more attractive to them them rather the their ££££KKKK paychecks, they also went against SFA rules and didn't give a shit about who else caught it! Now I also have men messaging me daily, In Aberdeen now, wanna meet, when it is against the current rules of social interaction, all because they want to get their dick wet!

So men, who are you willing to pass on Covid-19 onto just because you want to get you're dick wet? Is no one else important to you except your dick?

What do you mean by political? How is it benefitting politics? It has shown the government to be seriously inept with its countless u-turns, increased their borrowing which they always criticise the opposition for, is going to put thousands out of work, had the whole exams fiasco, the knock on effects of the pandemic or the hospitals and the economy are still to come, a no deal Brexit looking more likely.

There are very few governing political parties who are coming out of this well.

Quite so. It makes zero sense for a government to inflict a difficult situation, with zero gain, on themselves.

Psychologically it seems conspiracy theorists just can't handle the idea that life is in large part random and uncontrollable. There has to be some grand plan for everything.

It'd make you feel sorry for them if they didn't combine this with absolute arrogance most of the time.

"If you’re under 50 and relatively fit you have nothing to worry about. Our economic collapse has happened trying to save those that don’t even contribute to our economy. Strange times."

So essentially what your saying is "Fuck the over 50s, they dont contribute to society anyway so let's go back to normal and if the virus is passed onto vulnerable people fuck it one less mouth to feed"..... what the actual f is wrong with you? I think I can think of an historical character that wanted a whole group of people out of the way..... I'll let you think which character I mean.

Seriously fuck you, my mum Is 60 in September (works 5 days a week) I have freinds who's parents are older some retired and some shielded and some both, you need to give your head a wobble

Oooh that's a good idea, it would help loads with unemployment. We would just need to train a load of doctors first though, as most of the doctors, surgeons and consultants are well over 50.

I'm under 50, was relatively fit, and it kicked my arse for three months. I'm still not right.

Our economy was doing poorly anyway and we decided to remember that the economy serves humanity, not the other way around.

We all have opinions, nothing wrong on stating them but the nature of any forum is there is debate ..

Which is more than what some and the op in this thread seem to want to do after posting their opinion..

A debate is not just making a statement then refusing to engage or offer any further information to give credibility to the opinion..

There is a lot to gain from the destabilising of society. A keen sweep to allow the right wing more clout. They love self sufficient and selling off NHS. Now they have been very one doing what they are told else they'll be fined (wear face masks). There is no opposition else your not out for common good.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but they now have all the information joined up - email, mobile, NHS number, test results, employment status to see if you are useful fodder or not... Haha half joking!

Very much this.

It's tiresome to state the scientific evidence and get ignored, and yet these posters still peddle trash. If just one would look at the various evidence posted and then at least acknowedge its merits, it'll be worthwhile.

Wtf is the crap about over 50s when we have credible evidence to show its an older age group most affected. Even so, we are not going to allow our elderly like lambs to the slaughter.

We can interpret data that shows the fatality is no worse than flu and posters argue why don't we protect people from the flu - ffs the data is due to strategies implemented, otherwise we would be piling up the dead in the streets, so to speak.

This is all starting to give me a headache.

A few people are saying don’t trust the media, because they have an agenda.

What’s the agenda of others’ whom are offering their alternative view? Where is their independent evidence? Or is it baseless claims from the unstable, the attention seeking?

There has been mentions of patents having been claimed containing coronavirus. Are you able to identify the chemical structure of coronavirus? Would you be able to differentiate between the chemical structure of bleach and coronavirus?

Or once again, is this a result of the unstable, the uneducated, the attention seeking?

I have no doubt that we have been lied to start to finish and I completely understand why people are upset about that. But the reality is, the people in charge of the country, the people who are doing the lying have just as much of a clue as us. In Boris’ case, less so.

I have no idea what plandemic is, but to insinuate people are benefitting from this pandemic is really shit of you. And finally, to accuse Bill Gates of killing African children is disgusting.

Maybe so, or maybe it's the lack of control. It is easier to scapegoat the Chinese govt than actually face the fact we're fighting something faceless that is causing various suffering. It's easier to blame some rich geek in a foreign land trying to control us through govt mandates, than accept that the strategies in place as simple as hand washing and wearing masks when required is a positive strategy against our invisible foe. It's easier to believe bombs, guns and words of hate or fear should be levied against our man-sized enemies than pathogens, which require powerful microscopes to see.

Us minions have no power. Even govts have little power so many of the minions rebel against them to achieve a perceived control.

I've been muted before for complaining about the amount of 'fake news' active misinformation on this topic in here before.

It's dissapointing that for a site that otherwise trys to promote their stance toward covid, that these endless 'facebook' level debates on covid being a conspiracy are left to just devolve into endless mud slinging.

It's fine if there are some threads for people to point out why the arguments in favour of a conspiracy are just terrible, but it take 10x as long to actually form a decent response, with argument and evidence, than it does for yet another person with a screw loose to spam yet another one of these topics.

And probably even less to the report people who are wanting the pseudo-science to be censored for the benefit of people's sanity.

How do you define "being in trouble"?

Trump did the same thing saying New Zealand was "in trouble" when it reported 9 new Covid cases after months of no Covid cases at all. There's still only been 22 deaths from Covid-19 in New Zealand. Still the moment they had new cases they went straight back into lockdown.

Sure New Zealand only has 5 million population but their per capita death rate is an example of what can be achieved.

No way will anybody be getting a heart transplant if they have had covid recently. So i treat this "evidence" with a massive pinch of salt.

That would fit with the research from the heart foundation, Covid causes heart attacks so why do you think it's wrong ?

If you have a heart condition, your risk of catching the disease is not any higher than anyone else, but your risk of becoming seriously ill is higher.

We know that death rates from Covid-19 among people with existing heart conditions are higher than people who don’t have existing health conditions.

Read about what factors put you at risk of coronavirus

Most people who get the Covid-19 coronavirus either have no symptoms at all, or a mild illness which can include cough, fever, loss of sense of smell or taste, or aches and pains. Some people (up to 5 per cent) develop a severe illness which means they need to go to hospital.

If the infection gets severe (severe enough that you would need to be in hospital) it can then damage the lungs, meaning they are less able to supply oxygen to the bloodstream. This causes oxygen levels in the blood to drop which may mean organs such as the kidneys, brain, and heart not getting enough oxygen – this in turn can mean those organs can’t work properly.

How does coronavirus affect your heart and circulatory system?

Severe cases of coronavirus are linked to a higher risk of blood clots. Depending on where in your body they are, blood clots can lead to serious problems such as deep vein thrombosis, clots in the blood vessels in the lung (pulmonary embolism), heart attack and stroke.

Read more about how coronavirus could affect your arteries and veins

We know that patients in hospital with severe cases of coronavirus who have heart muscle damage as shown by blood tests are linked to a higher chance of dying. This has also been shown in other severe lung infections. In some patients, further tests called echocardiograms find that the heart isn’t pumping as well as it should. What isn’t always clear is whether that damage was already there, although many researchers believe that the virus can damage the heart muscle function. As well as heart failure, heart complications of severe Covid-19 can include inflammation of the heart (myocarditis), takotsubo syndrome (‘broken heart syndrome’) or heart rhythm disturbances. Some heart rhythm disturbances may happen as a result of certain drugs that are used to treat coronavirus – these drugs are likely to be avoided if you are already known to have a heart condition.

My father had asbestosis. It slowly but surely shut down his lungs until his heart sinply couldn't beat fast enough to supply oxgen to his body and it failed in the process of trying to do so.

His death certificate read heart attack.

It is a plandemic.

Failing to plan is planning to fail.

Our handling of this pandemic is one of the epic fails of our history

Do you have a time period for the flu deaths or are we talking over a period of years?

I'm wide awake. We've contained the death toll from Covid-19.

What death statistics are you using?

Flu has killed more people ever, therefore a virus with a capacity to overrun our healthcare system and with completely unknown long term effects is something we should trivialise

Whenever I see some one playing death trump's with influenza etc I automatically think some people not all are desperately seeking affirmation that it's ok to just ignore the virus and get back to shagging people regardless..

"flue killed more people than covid, lets wake up and realise its just a virus we have to live with, its only the media making it sound worse than it is,"

Death rate for flu 2019 was 1,223 people in England and Wales.

Your numbers or how you are comparing covid-19 with flu are seriously wrong.

I think that maybe the 'wake up' part was supposed to distract you from doing stuff like quote actual numbers...

I also find "plandemic" to be cute in a bad way.

Ooh clever you changed a word that obviously makes it so.

Somewhere there's a house number 66 with 6 Gates. 666 is the devil's number therefore Bill Gates is evil.

I can make up ridiculous stuff too.
