Most of the second half of the OP contains no facts. I’m not too sure about the first half either, and some of it makes no sense either way eg the Grenfell sentence.

What is contensious about that ?
Yes everyone must wear a mask in school corridors (which are crowded spaces) but it is optional for teachers to wear one in the classroom as once students are seated they will not come within 2m of the teacher. |

However, admissions are on the rise (mostly for observation not ICU).

I have access to information that supports this.
However, admissions are on the rise (mostly for observation not ICU).
What’s happening in the media is not reflected on the front line. Hospitals are functioning as normal at present."
As should be expected as rises in infection precedes hospitalisations by 2-4 weeks. The problem in hospitals however is that once you have a Covid case on a ward you are pretty much stuffed if you want to put anyone else on there. |

Ward set ups nowadays differ. You once had (and have) open plan bays. Modern bays have doors on them with a bathroom for those patients only. The bays may have two to six patients. And of course isolation rooms. In modern bays it's easy to find a solution to low numbers of covid patients. Less simple for open bays. |
