I am reading that half a million sharks might be butchered for their liver which is a proposed ingredient in some covid vaccines...
Now I am no shark lover but surely they don't need to do this.. |

Sharks liver is an active ingredient in pile cream, I wonder who was walking along a beach, saw a dead shark washed up and thought “I wonder if I shoved it’s liver up my arse, it would help my piles” |

I doubt this tbh. There is no drug that can't be synthesized, which is a lot easier than hunting sharks and dealing with natural sources of chemicals and their variations....

The sharks deserve life, without our selfish harm on them.
They'd perhaps be safe if the lack of production and transportation facilities etc are going to work against vaccine production anyway. |

this is true. sharks live oil is used with other chemicals in a piles ointment. |
