"we were told " bare with this 6 weeks and you'll have an xmas worth enjoying". what a whole pile of shite. "
I mean all going to plan I get to spend Christmas day with most of my family, those that want to go for a meal and a few drink with friends can do so, shops are open as are Hairdressers and gyms. so I'm not sure where the "whole pile of shite" comes into play. I mean what the actual fuck were you expecting a free for all? |

pubs open in a controlled manner like the vast majority were asking for. restaurant for a bit of food a few rushed pints? no young people or single people with no ties will be into that. house parties will be off like a bomb. most people are seen their family all they want the last 6 weeks and if not, nobody would of followed a no family rule over xmas. |

plus there is plenty of people on social media covid articles older then me, much older , giving out as much if not more. since xmas plan was layed out I havnt seen one person say they're happy bar on fab but sure you could rely on some people of fab for anything. |

Because although the schools are open the classes are still all bubbled and they aren't allowed to socialise or spend time with children outside of their 4 person bubble.
Outside school they can't see each other because their are high risk people on one side and it's not worth the risk of face to face contact. |

Why can't you accept that nobody is disagreeing with you about restrictions being crap and nobody is trying to say they are happy about the situation?
The issue is that regardless of all that everyone is cutting their cloth to fit and working around the restrictions and getting on with their lives.
Just because the only meaningful thing you have in your life is alcohol based and social interaction doesn't mean that everyone is paralysed.
They just don't spend their every waking hour complaining about the hand they've been dealt.

people are complaining every single day on covid articles on social media. the general grip is that pubs are not open for 2 weekends at xmas to let people enjoy it. the second most popular comment is "at this stage NOHET and the governent can go fuck themselves". the 3.5 months at the beginning was it. your now at the point which broke the camels back. they have completely lost the vast majority of people. a January lockdown? you had some hope with pubs open in a controlled manner. everyone now will just have house party after house party with no control. there is every right for people to complain |

Just take us in England, we have had a near mo this long lockdown and come out in a worse position than before, surely anyone can see this isn't working. Is all its achieving is ruining businesses and wrecking peoples mental health. People are still dying whether a lockdown, tiers or other restrictions. The longer it goes on the more futile I think it all is. |

Outside school they can't see each other because their are high risk people on one side and it's not worth the risk of face to face contact."
Yes my 10 year old is the same, bubbled with 8 children in her class and really missing some of her friends. My 12 year old on the other hand is bubbled with over 100 kids at his school so how does that work?? |

The liemaster General isn't widely believed but he still tells lies. People naturally want to hear of the good, after they've had bad.
He lockeddown late, for longer than had been suggested by the experts but encouraged people to believe that they'd enter to relaxations and not higher and tougher tiers than they'd had. It's not just about restrictions of freedom but also people needing to earn, to be able to afford their homes and bills, not get evicted etc.
It's fairly reasonable that many were duped. And seeing Christmas no-limits just a while later, where their suffering could be flushed down the pan, is understandably galling. Everyone deserves better than their lives jeopardised and manipulated, whilst treated with such contempt. |
