One rule for some...

Hull but travel regularly

There’ll be an exemption for quarantine for select business travellers, even from countries without travel corridors. The list includes:

"High value" business travellers

Certain performing arts professionals

TV production staff

Journalists

Recently signed elite sportspeople

Does it just seem like another example of one rule for the elites and another for us plebs?

I’m led to believe most people are in favour of the restrictions being out in place. The mind boggles.

I believe there are strict rules to be applied, but it helps uk businesses retain jobs. I think it's a good idea.

Brighton - even Hove!

Obviously rich people can’t catch Covid or will be in the queue first to get the vaccine.

All the seasonal Christmas workers from Eastern Europe are also exempt from quarantine and don't have to be tested.. And are going straight to work in crowded factories... So it's not just the elites.

Makes a mockery of the restrictions really.

It will include leaders and politicians too.

Safe to say none of them will be having any covid vaccine either.

I don't think the UK has had any real strick rules on travel 9 months in so I really don't see us starting now.

The Shires

The list also include lorry drivers and off shore rig workers so your argument isn’t valid. Just a bit of standard uk media click bait.

Central

Those who should result in money and job creation can get in. Unlike when found to have breached quarantine. I'm sure that when the expected jobs etc don't matrrialise, these people will have been free to do what they want and their goals will be forgotten about.

There really is either an absolute health need to quarantine or not, to save others lives and health and to break any new chain of transmission that could start. From a health perspective, this is plainly stupid and irresponsible.

It will be another nail in the buy-in that the public have to following all rules

It's the same as everything else OP. One rule for us, another for them.
