We considered pursuing of the herd immunity approach for a while, deciding to take a different approach to the other countries who have been much more successful, including New Zealand.

The England cricket tour of South Africa was cancelled about two weeks ago due to an outbreak in the isolated bubble they had created. It’s prevalent in most countries across the globe. They will never permanently close every and any border.

This was the point, I concur. Other countries controlled borders. Many epidimeiologists have said it was a viable policy.

Countries like Newzealand will still need to build an immunity though or when they do open their borders they will be at risk again.
