And they probably can hear them too.
But I suppose that is the Democracy we have - the right to be a dick-head is your right to be a dick-head.

People have a right to free speech and a right to protest.
But doing that outside a hospital isn't right. A stupid thing to do and must have been upsetting to patients and hard working staff. |

Probably didn't want to risk inflaming the situation.
Also, in Tier 4 it is permitted to meet one other person from a seperate household outside. |

It was New Year’s Eve I believe. They were chasing groups of d*unken knobbers all over the capital.

If they were on the public street rather than the hospital property, they might not have had any right to (apart from the Covid regulations). I'm not clear if the right to peaceful protest has actually been suspended in the Coronavirus Act. |

You can protest in any tier.
|

You are allowed to attend a protest that has been organised in all Tiers as long as:
it has been organised by a business, a charitable, benevolent or philanthropic institution, a public body or a political body, the protest organiser has carried out a risk assessment which meets the requirements of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and
the gathering organiser has taken “all reasonable measures” to limit the spread of coronavirus in line with the risk assessment and any relevant government guidance.
If you attend a protest where the organiser has not taken the above steps, you may risk being fined or arrested |

Yes, it certainly looks like the public are getting extremely keen to be taken into Martial Law and completely controlled willingly.
Slowly chip away at human rights and dignity and rush headlong into a dictatorial system where a ruling body says when you can go out, where you can go and who you can see.
Who'd have thought with everything we had, we'd willingly give it up within a year? |

I'm sorry but you are completely wrong. There's a huge difference between peaceful legal protests and illegal antagonists which is what this lot are.
My answer is very simple.
Invite the ring leaders in for a tour round the ICU and covid ward's to see firsthand what's happening,oh and tell them that they are not allowed to wear any ppe including mask's and use hand gel.
Btw bragging you attended a march/protest during lockdown is nothing to brag about,I admire your dedication to a cause but during lockdown just isn't right. |

This comes down to are we being lied to and I think we would all agree there is at least some embellishment of the truth.
Hancock has this week been caught out in one of these lies with nightingale hospital on standby in Norwich but when infestigated it was found that the hospital had zero beds or equipment not exactly on standby some would think.
All this was in response to a woman arrested for showing video footage of Norwich General hospital practically empty.

What people are failing to understand is these protests are usually controlled by organised anarchist group's who jump from cause to cause determine to undermine democracy for their own causes.
If sane reasonable people genuinely feel that covid is a lie there's other ways of voicing opinion without shouting outside the windows of dying people.
I know that if I was at hospital just visited a dying relative and came out to that, I certainly wouldn't be able to control my feelings.
Hearing about people doing this is just disgusting and makes me sick that whilst people are allowed to have a voice there's a line between freedom and lack of humanity. They have well and truly crossed that line and deserve to be treated accordingly with the full weight of the law brought down on them setting an example that this cannot and will not be tolerated. |

Not bragging at all - all in attendance when I protested wore masks and kept to social distancing.
A lot of protesters get marked as illegal antagonists. I’m not saying - nor have I ever said - I agree with what they were doing or why they were there. |

But what they are demonstrating isn't a different opinion, a disrespectful and designed to antagonize and infuriate to get a rise out of authorities so when they are sent on their way they can act like children throwing a tantrum resulting in having to be man handled off the scene, next thing they are posting pictures of police brutality.

I respect your opinion.
But honestly I feel anyone who attended a protest outside a hospital with people inside sick and dying , whilst inside a tier 4 area.
Show's nothing but disrespect and contempt for not only the patients and relatives but the staff working inside the hospital.
As well as disregard to everyone else who is abiding by the restrictions put in place.
So I don't condone any violence they do need to be treated with sanctions and in a way that is a deterrent to people who think that this sort of behaviour is acceptable.
Go and protest outside the houses of parliament or in the middle of a large open field.
But outside a hospital FFS that's just barbaric. |

Not only Marxism clamps down severely.
Any country that has had a military coup and ended up with some Junta (Argentina and Spain for example) is Right Wing.
Of course there is little difference to how the extreme far left and right treat those who do not agree with them. |

Demonstrations do have a point.
Our civil liberties have been severely restricted this last year.
To look at it another way, in 2020 the rate of infection world wide of HIV was 50-60% of COVID, the mortality rate was roughly the same! |

To look at it another way, in 2020 the rate of infection world wide of HIV was 50-60% of COVID, the mortality rate was roughly the same!"
Are you saying that they where justified to protest outside a hospital? |

But you can't catch hiv by just being near someone. |

"Somebody mentioned shooting them...fining them etc...let’s add water canon to that list! Anyone else have any ideas? Boiling oil, big screens playing mrs browns boys outside etc? A punishment that befits stupidity in this case. There is a Time and a place for peaceful protest and this is not it. there's your problem who decides when it is the time to voice a different opinion
Propaganda works both ways.
you have decided that but that doesn't speak for all that attend any protest or meeting as for police brutality it happens imo it's becoming more prevelant and accepted I'm not anti establishment I don't attend protests I don't agree with violence from any side I do think people should be able (notice I try to stay away from allowed) to highlight things they see as wrong and I do believe govt agencies should never step outside their bounds
But outside a hospital FFS that's just barbaric." whether I agree with what where and how they do things is not for me to decide.
I'd think it was outside a hospital to get maximum coverage to their message and perhaps they believe how they are being treated is barbaric.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist but some of these folk belive this is all a hoax who knows in melenia to come it may be found to be true.
It's not whether we agree or disagree (protest your disagreement if ya like) it's about their belief and their need to get their message out
I don't agree with what they are doing but I can understand for them it's what they feel is needed |

And are you also saying people should be protesting against people trying to stop the spread of HIV?
Also please please let me know what "civil liberties" your talking about as we are all in the same boat and I'm getting on with it as are many people. |

I think anyone with an iq in double digits can understand why we don't do protests outside hospitals. If they genuinely don't understand, their freedom should be curtailed massively. I wonder how the Chinese would have managed the situation. Break some bones perhaps?
Maybe just dissappear? so your answer become a Marxist state yeah that will work comrade.
Must be stupid 9 iq I don't agree with the overlord

What point do they have? Of course our civil liberties have been restricted with the aim of restricting the spread of this virus. It would be one thing to argue where the balance lies between personal freedoms and protection of society, that isn’t what they are doing! The majority of the protesters are fantasists that believe this is all some hoax and cover for injecting us with Bill Gates nanobot technology.. there is no debate with such fantasists, sadly it is just a collective with a shared mental illness. |

I would be surprised if patients inside the hospital can hear very much of the outside world unless the windows are all wide open to disperse virus particles in line with the catchy three word slogan.
The story relies heavily on patients being able to hear in order to have such an impact.
The media have given the protesters the publicity they were seeking. Bet they never envisaged it getting as far as a swingers' forum! |

I don’t agree with going hospital and shouting
But I understand they feel they being lied to ..and who knows they might know something that we don’t
Coz I’m sure all Scientists Don’t Agree with the action government taking
So to be fair I’d love to hear from supporters of those who agree to get a balanced informed look into why they did it...rather than judge coz media said it’s wrong |

Regardless of if they can hear or not it should never have happened or been allowed to.
FFS the hospital and staff are trying to save lives or make sure those who are dying have an painless and peaceful transition as possible it has no political agenda.

We're happily walking, nay running into a controlled state.
Just because the authorities haven't got enough manpower to control it's citizens then let the citizens control the other citizens. Job done. Let's note one last time for a dictatorship and no more democracy. |

Yeah, a Marxist state with 1984 overtones where everyone reports others because they don't comply. Let's bring in the thought police too |

Boris has blundered his way through the past year. The medical and scientific community have been pretty consistent in their messages but government has only partially followed that advice. This lack of government leadership has allowed conspiracy theorists and those who deal in misinformation to gain a foothold. Take the latest example of government acting against the scientific advice, There are enough people who are afraid of vaccination. The two vaccines approved for use in the UK require two doses administered two to three weeks apart for an effectiveness of around 90%. They state that a single dose reduces protection to below 80%. The government is now pushing giving out that lower dosage level despite the fact that it means over one in five people who have been vaccinated are unprotected. Small wonder then that this will be seized on by the antivaxers as an argument not to have the jab in the first place. |

Do bear in mind that the Flu vaccine has only ever had an effectiveness rate of 40% and 60% and works well to stave of flu pandemics each year.
Anything above 60% for a vaccine is absolutely unheard of generally.

The MMR vaccine is considerably higher as is / was the smallpox vaccine.
The HPV vaccine for protection against cervical cancer is around 90% effective.
It beggars the question why anyone doubts the work done on Covid as none of the conspiracy theories show up in other vaccinations.
Why would governments start now? |

We have long been piloted toward a more controlled state, much of the anti terrorist legislation is an assault on everyone’s civil liberties, a compromise to save lives? Maybe & I am fully aware that the security services have to be right every time, the terrorists just once. Anyway, I do have enough faith in our parliament that when sufficient immunity is achieved then restrictions will be removed, not least because of the finances...lives & livelihoods may not be as important to politicians, but hit them in their pockets & they understand. |

Maybe they should be asked to volunteer on the covid wards, they won't need PPE as the virus is a conspiracy....... |
