Maybe because it's going to be at least another year before life's back to some sort of normality

"Will be a long way if people let it "

precisely this but i think we have a different interpretation of let it - mine is if people race ahead and think a road map out of lockdown is an indicator they can go back to normal now, they will let the virus levels rise again and let this go on longer than it needs to

"So boris is extending the coronavirus act/law by 6 months tomorrow, why would that be? "

He will be casting an anxious look over his shoulder at his backbenchers who are getting increasingly hawkish. They have had enough of this lockdown, it’s hurting their profits.

Maybe because there is a need to try and be prepared rather than panicking later?

North Wales, Chester,

Couldn't agree more, the sacrifices people have made will all be for nothing if they just run wild, but we have been deprived for so long and some common sense may get put to one side

try going on sites that 100s of doctors and experts are trying to have a debate but get shut down by government, or sit back and trust the government without any debate. It's only you and your children's future, the government knows best they are never wrong.

And these sites are?

Tell them to come here and post, this site seems to be going okay with all its “experts”.

Like what sites? What doctors? What qualifications do they have and what peer reviewed data is there?

What no scientist or polatishon has told us yet but true is that a virus is a living thing constantly changing and mutating .we will have to live with covid as we do with the common cold . Its constantly changing meens you would have to have many difrent virus jabs every year to be protected.the south american and south african strains are imune to the jab and by the end of this year there will be many more strains.the future will be masks and a month shutdown in the winter every year.remember theyv been trying to cure the cold for many years and failed and covid will be the same

This is nonsense

The vaccines are less effective against the South African variant, it's true, but not entirely ineffective (and are largely still effective against hospitalisation and death).

As transmission slows, so will variants, because the virus will have less chance to mutate.

After a settling period with vaccination it will calm down, the same as outbreaks of other vaccine preventable diseases.

You do know that there will always be different views within the scientific community however the facts are globally there is a majority consensus that the current path nigh on all countries have taken works, yes there are no easy solutions..

What are these 100s of doctors and experts saying, have these ideas been peer reviewed etc?

If they are saying what I responded to you about then sorry it's largely conspiracies and has little relevance to reality..

Some Town centres appear to undergoing demolition and the sites cleared. In readiness for what? Communist China style rabbit hutch flats?

Why?
