You're meant to wait 15mins before driving after the AZ vaccine, but you don't have to be observed. You have to be observed at for vaccine centre 15mins after the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. We tell AZ vaccine recipients to wait in the car for 15mins and there are signs to this effect around the vaccine centre. |

No signs present, nor was I told to sit in car for 15 mins. 2and jab 5.30 this evening. No signs but was advised this time...got bored after 5 and was hungry so went to Dominos as 2 4 Tuesday!
I took a friend's mum for her 2and Pfizer weeks ago. They had waiting area, observed sitting for 15 mins. Still no hobnobs tho.

Hobnobs are only for the people doing trials
I can't speak for where you went for your AZ one first time, but you definitely should have been advised not to drive for 15min. It's in the vaccine protocol document (the national guidelines for the AZ vaccine). Also apparently car insurers might not pay out for an accident in the first 15min because of this guidance in the national protocol (not that insurers will find any excuse!)
