The Queen obviously had a tip off, which is why she left Buckingham Palace and went to live in Windsor.

There is a limited company listed on Companies House as ‘The Corporation of London Limited’ with one shareholder (not Boris) and steps were taken in Autumn last year to have it automatically struck off, that has happened and it was officially dissolved on 8 June 2021

Absolutely nothing to do with corporations tax paying, city of London foreign soil (never was) and whatever else the OP spouted

Lionel’s link is to do with proposed changes to tax paying by global corporations within the square mile (City of London), which is a G7 initiative

"NY Times...

Samuel Earle gives America the shocking truth about Brexit Britain's leader "Johnson has led Britain to one of the highest Covid death rates in the world, overseen one the worst economic downturns in the G7 and imposed the third-strictest lockdown globally.”

"

Mr Earles opinion appears to be that of admiration for Boris, with the majority of the piece in awe at how popular he and the Conservative party are - "Despite all the havoc the Conservatives have caused, the party is in a stronger position than ever. And Mr. Johnson — the man who seems only ever to fail upward, blundering from one success to the next — is at its beating heart. His fellow leaders, few of whom possess comparable security, may well look on enviously."

Going by the language used in this piece it's apparent Mr Earle has taken much of the excellent research and first-hand experience of Boris from the insightful piece written by Tom McTague ("The Minister of Chaos - Boris Johnson knows exactly what he’s doing." -https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2021/07/boris-johnson-minister-of-chaos/619010/ ) and rehashed it in order to offer a flipped version of reality.

Interesting read though - thanks.

Central

Is it back in the EU? . Passports? Or result of a name change or some administrative charges etc? I've not read the thread.

It's a good move to implement tax changes so that corporations pay fuller levels of tax in the countries they're operating in and at an high enough minimum level, to prevent them ghosting money into tax havens.

As far all of the claims OP made, what is the source of these?

This should be good..

More deaths, no vaccine, incorrect rules to govern during covid, more billions wasted and even worse scandals....... good enough?

Sorry I asked what could be worse if labour had been in power..you have simply stayed what could the tories do even worse.

No, pretty sure i answered your question of how it could have been worse if labour had been in power

Ok fair enough..so let's look at your 1st one..under labour there would have been more deaths.. what empirical evidence do you have to back up that conclusion?

Well you never seem to present true facts that haven't had a little "lionel twist" to suit your narrative.

I only needed to read your first accusation of "one of the worst death rates in Europe" to know you had put the "twist" on it"

My work here is done

Let's not even bother with the rest of your fairy tales but thank you for proving my point

The only positive has been the NHS vaccine delivery, which has saved us from many more deaths, disabilities and worse economic damage.

This is true. People can only speculate. But what is obvious is labour has been a rudderless ship for some time now. Who will turn them round? Andy Showboat Burnham?

The plight of labour is even more highlighted that a fuckwit like Boris is keeping them in the shadows

In fairness, we don't know the opposition would be worse.

Unfortunately they don't seem to be making themselves electable.

If the court of public opinion on Fab regarding the conservative governments current position, you'd have thought beating them in an election (or two) would be a piece of cake.

Government (any government, any party) must have a strong opposition and I find it a shame we don't seem to have one at the moment.

Absolutely nothing to do with corporations tax paying, city of London foreign soil (never was) and whatever else the OP spouted

Lionel’s link is to do with proposed changes to tax paying by global corporations within the square mile (City of London), which is a G7 initiative "

I think criticising the government is fair game.

I also think the OP is talking about sovereign citizen type stuff which... makes some of the anti vax arguments look vaguely science based

Not a lover of Boris myself but then I think the only person that ever got things right in parliament was Guy Fawkes who wanted to blow the lot of them up

Bizarre isn’t it. I mean you can only really conclude that a significant chunk of that 45% have something akin to Stockholm Syndrome?

i think thats a lazy conclusion

people vote for what they think aligns with their views most or for what they think will be best for them , so either the country demographic is different from what you assume, or the other parties really have that far to step up before people want to put their trust in them
