If you can still catch and pass the rona after veing vaccinated what is the passport for?
Is it a route to freedom or is it a tool to be a sl.ave to taking whatever vaccine they decide you need to take?

As a vaccine helps to reduce symptoms and reduces the chances of passing it on a passport or proof of vaccination in some form is part of the ammunition which could be used to fight the virus. I went for a coffee with a friend last week and before being shown to a table we had a temperature check which was really good to see. |

thats all good when its said and done but the covid passport is not an indication that youare a safe person though is it...
Its more of a proof to say you have been a good boy and had your latest vaccine or what other info they decide to put on such as your weight/BMI which would bar you entry into mcdonalds? you see where i going with this? |

Politicians had been in talks about Vaccine passports as far back as 2018,
The European Commission published a proposal for vaccine passports on 26 April 2018.
The document was called Strengthened Cooperation against Vaccine Preventable Diseases.
Easily found online.

The vaccine passport isn't a passport. Its proof that you have had one or both of your vaccines. Seeing as many countries are asking for proof when you travel,they needed a way to have proof.
I've been using the app it's been included on for quite some time now. The Qr code with your proof clearly only says about your vaccine status. Although you can see if your up to date with other vaccines on the app.
Nothing to do with being a good girl or credit score. And you dont need the app, you can get a letter with it on for travelling or for test events
99% of places still ask for negative test first as well. So it's just one or the ways we are protecting ourselves and others.
You keep going on about it covid vaccines dont stop you catching or transmitting, what's the point... the point is they do reduce the chances of it and they do reduce the symptoms and chances of serious illness or worse from it.

There aren't plans for use of vaccine status checks in the UK, apart from care and possibly health staff, ss far as I am aware. Individual organisations could decide to screen employees.
Vaccine status proof has long been standard for international travel - each country can impose its own border rules.

When the Data shows that the vaccines reduce your chances of becoming infected and a further 67% of infecting others (if you do get infected), it makes a huge amount of sense to have such confidence in the vaccines.

Deffo yes! I've had to download the nhs thingy to get a pass to go to hampton court flower show week after next! What a farce! I only did b cos daughter got the tickets last year for my b day and was carried forward to this year! Otherwise would have not gone! X |

That already happens with some insurance companies as your lifestyle can affect your premiums. It's highly likely that a vaccination question will be added to the questionnaire. |

People who are vaccinated are at a much lower risk of contracting the virus and are a much lower risk to others, as evidenced by decreasing ICU admissions and deaths.
The vaccines don't offer 100% protection, but after the second dose can hit the 90s. If you're a tourist venue and you don't want to be closed down due to an outbreak, who poses the greater risk to your business and employees? Non vaccinated people.
Vaccinated people are far less likely to contract the virus, but if they do they're very likely to have a much milder case of it. With less severe symptoms, you are less of a risk because you cough less, recover quicker and are therefore only a risk to others for a shorter period than those who are not vaccinated and who may develop a bad case.
It's nothing to do with evil governments or other daft conspiracy theories, it's about reducing the risk to others, reducing the strain on the NHS and helping businesses to operate safely without becoming ground zero. |

For me it’s also an indicator of how people accept their responsibility to society. If you can’t do simple things like have vaccines and wear a mask, can you be trusted to wear a condom and never drink and drive? I can’t make people around me get vaccinated, but I’d like to know so that I can keep my distance. |

Never owned a mobile phone
Never been abroad
Never read any science fiction by decent authors before
This is progress and yiu cant stop it.. The benefits will outweigh the concerns
