Welsh vaccine passport

This is an odd one and I'd love if someone knows the answer

Wales voted in a vaccine passport, whatever

You'd need one for attending different size events and nightclubs

So my question is, what differentiates a pub from a nightclub?

Is it capacity? Opening hours?

I would have thought licensing but I've never had or applied for one.

I presume it works the same as in England any large event I have been to recently need a vaccine passport or a lft test with 24 hours. Assume it is on capacity.

I believe a night-club is mainly an Entertainment Venue, it will have a designated dancing area and constant music/entertainment. They will not open during the day.

A pub will normally be open day and night but close earlier than a night club, their main purpose is drinking (and sometimes eating). If they have music and entertainment it is occasional and secondary to their main purpose of serving drinks.

Makes me laugh, we had this same question put forward up here by those in opposition to passport. The whole time, a population have been easily able to differentiate between a pub and a club, never have I or anyone I know gone into a pub and thought damn I never knew this was a club and vice versa, pub owners and club owners knew exactly what they were licenced for, till now. Pedantics is all it is.

Tbf(at least in Swansea) there are several pubs which kind of "double up" as clubs later in the night so I can see why people ask the question. There isn't the clear pub/nightclub divide down here that there was 20 years ago. Out and out nightclubs which only open at say 10pm and stay open all night are few and far between these days

It really isn’t pedantic. For years now chameleon type venues have offered a pub by day and by night a nightclub, in numerous cases paid entry and extended hours , probably what has seen the demise of many nightclubs. Would you see a pub, open till 3am with paid entry and live entertainment as something different ?

It is Labour getting it all wrong again!

This could seriously affect the entertainment industry in Wales!

How exactly? The majority of people have been vaccinated, all concert venues are voluntarily requiring proof of double vaccination or negative LFT already… I fail to see how this will seriously harm the entertainment industry

I’d be more worried about the undemocratic vote which took place.

There was one remaining guy who couldn’t access the zoom meeting who was going to vote against it but couldn’t connect, and so the controlling member decided to let the vote go ahead without him resulting in a majority of 1 for the vaccine passport.

Corrupt and shambolic if you ask me

It’s all a load of bollocks, been to two sporting events recently, both required you to be double jabbed or negative test, they didn’t even check, follow the money and you’ll get to the bottom of this plandemic.

It’s the capacity …. Plus people are closer together than in a pub

That's what you have to do when something is novel. Plus the government ran 2 simulations, Cygnus and another of a Coronavirus pandemic but decided to ignore the conclusions and recommendations.

thats just it, the propaganda is telling the sheep that majority have been "jabbed" when in reality its only around 47% uptake, hence now coercing of more with passport as entry requirements

My local pub is just that… a pub, open from 10am every day, good food, children’s menu etc. This crazy passport crap has hit them.

As on weekends they are open past midnight and play music with a few tables in one side moved to create a tiny tiny floor area for a handful of dancers (which as the pubs usually full it’s just people loitering waiting for a table)

So as from 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays you need a passport to gain entry as they have been deemed ‘to create a club environment’

Where did you invent the 47% figure? Who is feeding the propaganda then? Media and NHS all colluding with Governments? Really? To what end then? To save lives or to fit us all with microchips....

"Mark Drakeford and Nicola Sturgeon are loving the power and control that COVID has given them. "

And those administrations have dealt with this better than boris…..

For the purpose of the conversation… I don’t know the definition in Wales, but I do for Scotland…

The definition for a large event is anything where over 10,000 people are expected, in which case you then need proof of vaccine status or negative tests to attend
