Probably would have awarded less multimillion pound PPE contracts to their friends and neighbors, who then provided faulty PPE.

As an example.

I don't think Labour are any good. But I suspect they would be less corrupt and self serving than the current lot.

So countries that cannot agree on simple things have colluded to create a fake pandemic, where people have actually caught “something” and some have died, all to reduce our rights?

You know that countries where civil liberties don’t exist have reported on covid as well right? Why do they need to pretend to go along with it?

the most widespread conspiracy in history that would need tens of thousands of people involved in from every country in the world is that what you are saying? Without any major people breaking rank and whistle blowing? Why does everything seem to be a conspiracy and nothing major in the world that happens is as it seems!!

Having been to China and seen how controlled the people are, how they scan their QR code to pay digitally, how they have rights taken away from them if they step out of line ie. travel on a train or plane or bus etc, I can see the governments plan is to implement something similar in the UK.

Austria are already looking at fines for unvaxxed and jail terms.

Australia have detention camps set up

Germany are following suit as are Canada.

Italy is getting worse with restrictions as are Belgium

Vaccine passes are not just for bars, football concerts etc.....

Even though they have not been proven to show any reductions in the countries that used them, it will happen on the 15th.

Its already been posted on the Department of Health and Social Care's media pages. No democratic vote has taken place it seems.

Say goodbye to your freedom.

Soon after the boosters are taken and everyone thinks they are vaccinated and free, the 4th shot will be mandatory and those with boosters will no longer be classed as vaxxed. Pfizers CEO has already stated 4 will be needed.

Once 4 have been taken, a new variant will come out and you will need 5......and the cycle will continue with more restrictions.

Austria already are not allowing unvaxxed into supermarkets, so if you don't keep your status upto date then you can't shop for food etc.

And there lies the control of your freedom...

Enjoy your day.

There's a really sad misunderstanding of the seriousness of the GLOBAL pandemic, senseless claims of government control are imho rubbish and perpetuated by people trusting Facebook and Twitter instead of their own eyes

No issue with having own opinions on here as it creates dialogue.

Not everything on social media is legitimate, however watching news reports from the specific countries and researching the countries own government websites does give an indication of what is taking place in terms of plans and restrictions.

It might help if you do some additional research before presuming that people only look at Facebook or Twitter.

Just a thought.

You can take it or leave it.

Boris is in charge of an administration that resembles his persona which is unkempt disorganised and woefully out of touch.

His whole life has been spent in a privileged and cosseted environment aided and abetted by a abnormal setting for his early education at Eton.

The picture of him with his university cohort dressed in penguin suits as a badge of membership of the bullingdon club should be sufficient for those in doubt to steer clear of the man.

Sorry for veering slightly of track and being voluminous in reply but it’s still a resounding no, no no from me.

I rarely trust government regardless of what the subject might be. They elevate lying and hypocrisy to an art form. Doesn't matter if it's a conservative or liberal one either.

Udont believe in the virus??

I work with nhs

Are u mad?

My 2 aunts died in the last 8 months due to covid and I'm currently lay isolating with covid.

Now tell me u don't believe in it?!"

You want that guy to beleive in the virus based on your anecdotal experiences which cannot be verified?

That's the sort of coherent thinking we want from members of our NHS.

The broadcast tonight was another diversion tactic to say I am in charge and forget the shite that underpins my administration. He said nothing that could not be delivered in the normal way.

Complete and utter theatre to try and deflect criticism.

So who would you all trust? Who do you want up there making the decisions? Damn sure I wouldn’t want to be doing it. Who would have done it any better? Some people want to carry on as normal and just live with it. Some want to be cautious and protect people. Not a chance in hell everyone will agree whoever is in charge.

The media are driving so much unrest that it is dividing the nation at a time it should be coming together. I'm not condoning the party at no10 but my god it seems to be a perfect excuse for the petulant to be themselves on a soapbox.

The story of Johnson taking part in an online quiz with 2 other people in the office is another example of trying to drive unrest, just as the media did with Trump. History shows us those that support one side or the other just dig in against the relentless media stories and all hell breaks loose, the media incidentally have a much better story to report on.

I do think the media make alot of stuff up. They create the news. We are leading in vaccines. Our scientists are amazing and we do have alot of deaths but that's because we have people from all over the world coming here and we as British will Never do as we are told. Others do as the government tells them. Germany Russia etc

Notwithstanding the current mess.

Irs not a question of them having to make a decision it's their lack of overall competence. When they took over the economy national debt was

0.59 trillion.

It's now 2.5 trillion even taking away the pandemic

The other thing with science is that two equally qualified and experienced and competent scientists can examine the exact same set of data and draw exact opposite conclusions

That happens very, very rarely and when the consensus is heavily skewed to one opinion in the scientific community do not claim some level of equivalence.

Trusting "yourself" is monumentally arrogant in many ways. Particularly in emotive topics or those you have a vested interest in.

Apologies to the OP.

The science was correct.

The press and government was bought.

Climate science was transparent, yet false equivalence was bought and the solution delayed for decades.

No.

And I have no faith in any other parties either.

Because quite simply, humans are the worst animals to govern other animals.

Government should be by Artificial Intelligence.

(Yes, I realise that this needs programming in by...Humans...however parameters can be defined and lines specified that cannot be crossed. AI is also capable of some "self-awareness" and can make its own decisions too. But red lines cannot be crossed. Humans cross them all the time."
