I don't think many people bring it up proactively these days. I imagine most aren't aware of the vaccination status of others, if they haven't a) been told when it was new two years ago or b) engaged in ongoing forums like this one.

As a person who works daily with general public and who doesn't want to engage in conversations about vaccines or any other covid related topics with that general public as my job has nothing to do with covid - yes, people still do very much bring it up all the time without being asked about it and yes, people do still very much tend to lecture those who haven't got it.

Thankfully most people I'm around are civilised enough not to raise their voice

Each to their own, but personally if I see anyone with a facemask I'm automatically assuming they're very sick and very contagious so it's better to stay away from them

To be fair I suspect that if a shag was on the cards many would fib about their vaccine status dependant on how keen they are to bump uglies with someone.

Much like the 'Fab straight' but actually bi dilemma, the 'I've never barebacked' but actually do frequently and the 'I'm not a smoker' except when I've had a few drinks or post shag.....people are sometimes economical with the truth to achieve an end goal.

How many ask to see a vaccine card on a pre shag social meet? I suspect even less than the number that ask someone's age or sexuality in a club.

A

Are people actually asking someone's vax status? I couldn't give less of a fuck whether you've had 0 or 24. Your attitude towards people's personal choices however means a lot more to me. We've had some crackpots throughout wanting people excluded from society for a vaccine that barely reduces transmission and is for your own protection.

Well I got vaccinated. I wouldn't of had it if it wasn't for other people. One person I know who had the vaccine is now suffering from terrible arthritis which came about all of a sudden. She blames the vaccines, but I'm not sure about that.

"Gonna be honest here: whenever I see someone with that sorta anti-vaxx stuff on their profile, I assume they're thick as s***. I assume they think that I and all the other vaxxed are being controlled by Bill Gates' nanobots.

Incidentally, has anyone noticed how great Windows 11 is?

You just answered the question, may as well close the thread! People who declined a covid 19 vaccine don’t want to meet people with attitudes like this. It's pure ego at it's finest. "My view can't possibly be wrong therefore you are thick as shit"

He's right though"

Yes cause the only reason for not wanting a vaccine is because you are some crazy conspiracy theorist

It couldn't possibly be the fact that people weighed up the risks and decided to have zero/1/2/delete as applicable jabs. Does all common sense and logic get wiped after a few doses of pfizer?

Bill needs to include an ssd upgrade cause some people are losing data at alarming rates.

"Are people actually asking someone's vax status? I couldn't give less of a fuck whether you've had 0 or 24. Your attitude towards people's personal choices however means a lot more to me. We've had some crackpots throughout wanting people excluded from society for a vaccine that barely reduces transmission and is for your own protection."

Agree with these sentiments

I think it was relevant about 2 years ago but as I've had several and as I'm protected, I couldn't really care if someone is or not.

The only turn off would be needing to broadcast this on your profile, which means we probably won't get on because who wants to talk about politics, religion and all that jazz on your profile.

probably the same reason as those people who wont meet those who havent been jabbed, you would of thought by now most people would know if u been jabbed or notu still can catch it and pass it on, myself i try to steer clear of anyone who has only meeting jabbed/unjabbed on there profile

As I was told . Not my theory , a stranger told that’s why she didn’t wanted vaccinated men

If non or anti vaxxers want to meet each other, then let them crack on.

At least they can share the skills required to make a tin foil hat.

We're vaccinated by the way. And as one user commented Windows 11 isn't so bad after all.

We have always been pro-choice. We have zero interest in other people’s vaccine status and our own status is private. We certainly feel no need to broadcast it like it is some mind of virtue. If a person felt the need to ask then they are not someone we would consider playing with.

While we understood emotions, and fear, were high back in 2020/21, one thing that became apparent on here was the attitude of some posters who were so quick to dismiss or ridicule other people’s points of view and clearly wanted to impose their own views onto others.

It was simply disgusting how so many wanted to exclude unvaccinated people from society, including stopping them from working. All based on scant and constantly evolving data and an ever changing set of arguments.

As with so many things (just look at the politics forum) arguments/views became almost exclusively binary with no room for any middle ground. Black and white with no grey. No nuance or acceptance of granularity. It was quite simply pathetic and displayed some of the worst, tribalist traits in human nature.

I guess Pfizer’s lack of transparency around the vaccine and requesting a 75 year block on its safety data and also the fact Pfizer have received the largest criminal fine in US history might have something to do with some people’s doubts around the vaccine….

Raw data is subject to interpretation. You're implying it's vaccines.

The data from Australia and New Zealand - countries highly vaccinated with a lag before letting Covid rip - is instructive. Their excess deaths don't kick off until their quarantines ended, whereas the ones in other countries started sooner.

Cause other than vaccines? Nah. Obviously vaccines that are programmed on the basis of keeping the cricket on

Nice Gish gallop by the way. A Gish gallop is a debate tactic where you spew arguments so fast they can't adequately be responded to. (Harder to do in a forum)

So, do you concede that the 75 years is a result of FDA time constraints, given you dropped the topic?

Yeah all these excess deaths... Funny how they started happening when everyone was told "there is no more disease, throw away your masks, crowd together in thousands and cough on each other, go to work when you are clearly ill". Funny how the death rate went up when literally millions of people have had multiple exposures to a virus that the full long term effects of are still unknown. Funny how the death rate went up when literally millions of people have had multiple exposures to a virus where the short term effects are certainly known to include damage to every organ in the body, including damage to the immune system making it easier to catch other diseases. Funny how the excess deaths are higher in the group that refuses to take the threat of disease seriously, and lower in the group that takes every vaccine they can get and reduces their chances of exposure in every way they can.

Seriously, everybody who says that catching covid will give protection against catching covid? Have you analysed just how inane that is? It's exactly the same as saying in the zombie apocalypse "getting bitten and turning into a zombie will give you protection against turning into a zombie".

Ah, there's no point in arguing when we're 3 years plus into a disease infecting every country in the world. Everybody that is going to make the slightest effort to keep healthy is already doing it. There is no argument that will sway anyone on either side. All that's left now is to wait and see who is right, and who is dead in five years time.

I think a gish gallop is warranted when you and others insist on reductio ad absurdum, some against the vax are also conspiricists so therefore it must mean everyone thinks aliens/flat earth/tin foil hat//bill gates/insert any other conspiracy you wish

It's a common tactic on here for a lot of the die hard pro vax squad, those who couldn't accept that maybe it wasn't needed for everyone, they also happen to be some of those spewing the most hateful vitriol and ideas regarding what should have happened to those who didn't want the vax.

You can make all the silly comments you like, the raw data is there

Raw data is subject to interpretation. You're implying it's vaccines.

The data from Australia and New Zealand - countries highly vaccinated with a lag before letting Covid rip - is instructive. Their excess deaths don't kick off until their quarantines ended, whereas the ones in other countries started sooner.

Cause other than vaccines? Nah. Obviously vaccines that are programmed on the basis of keeping the cricket on

If the vaccines are so safe, why was the AstraZeneca vaccine dropped from most countries?….

Ah, the Gish gallop continues. Discard an argument to move onto the next one

Because some of the data was not what it seemed and the other ones worked better. And the ooga booga deadly AZ vaccine has killed less people in the UK than "just a cold" has killed children in the UK

Which was picked up by the ongoing monitoring. You know, a safeguard I think a gish gallop is warranted when you and others insist on reductio ad absurdum, some against the vax are also conspiricists so therefore it must mean everyone thinks aliens/flat earth/tin foil hat//bill gates/insert any other conspiracy you wish

It's a common tactic on here for a lot of the die hard pro vax squad, those who couldn't accept that maybe it wasn't needed for everyone, they also happen to be some of those spewing the most hateful vitriol and ideas regarding what should have happened to those who didn't want the vax. "

I don't see how a dishonest debate tactic helps anyone.

And while I do joke about Martians (all examples you use come from actual "theories" about these vaccines), people here condemn parents who vaccinate their children, have been anyone taking caution that they're incontinent or they're helping promote the forces of evil taking over the world, said that the trauma of the pubs being closed was unbearable and that if anyone was scared they should hide forever while they get back to their necessary dwinkipoos and tell you that the Covid deaths aren't real because they can't see any in their front garden. Nurses taking a break? Pfft. Clearly no emergency at all.

"I guess Pfizer’s lack of transparency around the vaccine and requesting a 75 year block on its safety data and also the fact Pfizer have received the largest criminal fine in US history might have something to do with some people’s doubts around the vaccine….

Yeah, the FDA working out how quickly they can release records with responsible use of public resources is a grand conspiracy of Pfizer and the Martians why do you seem to think that doubts around the vaccine has anything to do with Martians/flat earth/microchips? Maybe you should ask the question why the NHS has recruited for staff to work in vaccine injury teams? https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/19942750.jobs-north-east-nhs-vaccine-damage-payment-team/

I’ve never seen this type of job advertised prior to the pandemic….

Gosh, imagine a situation where more people receive a treatment in one short time. Any treatment having risks.

More treatment, more bad outcome, even at low rates.

Ok it's maybe not Martians in specific instance. Just charlatans who exploit people who can't differentiate between raw numbers and rate keep burying your head in the sand. Have you looked at the excess death rates for the last 10 months? Have you looked at the age range of those ‘sudden deaths’? No Martians here. No stupid microchip. So your dishonest debate tactic is fine but others isn't!? Ok.

People who are pro vax are also religious and believe the 2nd coming of christ is imminent? Can I conflate both of those together to make ridiculous arguments to support anything I want to say? Of course not because it's ridiculous, much like reducing anyone's argument to tin foil hattery because a few people may think that way.

I'd happily argue against that, I however wouldn't use that one person's opinion to paint everyone who holds even a single view in common with the same tin foil brush

I've had vaccines, so I'll be dead too though

These all of a sudden conditions happen all the time to people. Its hardly surprising that some people coincidentally suffer from a new condition after a vaccine.

I developed a hernia after the vaccine. Maybe I should blame that!?

I know two people who developed clots and one who had a clot the ended up in his lung, this also caused a heart attack that almost killed him. All three have doctors that believe it to be the jab that caused them. All three had az for first two jabs then a pfizer booster, then clots a week to 10 days later. Two of them caught covid in hospital also. Glad I didn't get my booster as these anecdotal accounts are common.

That is bad luck I know at a 1000 people who have had covid vaccines and not one had blood clots. I know plenty of people who have had clots but they were all pre covid.

It's all well being merely bad luck but it's likely little comfort to the guy who still struggles to walk upstairs unaided despite him being in peak physical shape beforehand. Pretty much a shell of his former self. He only got the jabs because he travels all over with work and in the sport he competed in. Ironic that he can't do either now.

Well because the vaccine is a mind control device, just like all the other vaccines.

If you don’t believe me, ask Dave from the pub. He should know, he’s a plasterer!

To be fair if someone doesn’t want to meet you because you’re vaccinated, probably best avoid them.

They’re probably convinced that they could somehow catch the vaccine from you and develop whatever the current made up ailment that kills you is.

48.7 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine administerd in the UK with 72 recorded deaths is terrible.

Accidental overdose through excessive ingestion of Paracetamol or medicine containing paracetamol as an acute staggered overdose is most common.

Murder by paracetamol poisoning/overdose (in the UK) is rare.

Certainly significantly less than 72 cases.

Nonsense"

Where does nonsense like this come from?

Every part of that post is easily found to be rubbish.

One of the new ones is that Ivermectin now cures autism.

"AZ is proven to have killed people now, anybody who tries to argue otherwise are just incorrect. "

The lower estimate of deaths proven to be caused by unintentional aspiration of dihydrogenmonoxide (DHMO) is 235,000 every year! Highest estimate of total global deaths even potentially linked Vaxzevria is 0.7% of that.

How about you put your shock and horror to something that is proven to be actually killing people rather than the boogieman.

Why is it always photoless accounts writing these nonsense posts?

It only takes one death attributed to complications from the Astra Zeneca vaccine for my statement to be true. If it’s so safe why aren’t they using it any more?

In the real world, "safe" is a relative term. Everything has side effects. We decide what risk we're willing to take. It turns out, after safety monitoring, that we can do better. We learned.

Usually interventions are compared against what they're trying to prevent, too. We're into six figures for Covid deaths.

Even if we break it down and exclude all the old people because apparently they don't count- we're in excess of 150 children who've died of acute Covid in this country, so far.

Oddly in these calculations, not even dead children count anymore.

To put the anti-vaxx hullabaloo into context lets look first at smallpox. Before the introduction of the smallpox vaccine on average 1-in-13 of ALL deaths worldwide was caused by smallpox. The vaccine was introduced in the 1790s with zero modern medical knowhow. By the 1960s (170 years later) the reported deaths caused by the then modern vaccine in the US alone was still in the order of 400/million vaccinations. Every child in the US was vaccinated for smallpox without even the parents being asked.

How about Measles? Before the vaccine, low estimates at the time 2.5 million deaths each year worldwide. Now, it makes the national papers when there is a small outbreak.

What about Polio? Before the vaccine, low estimates again over 500,000 deaths every year and that was only the deaths not the millions permanently paralysed by the virus.

Moral of the story - The only reason why any of you have the luxury of conspiracy scaremongering is directly thanks to mass vaccinations saving millions and millions and millions of humans who understood the horrors that plagued our species for thousands of years.

And you did not address why you are not outraged by the deaths directly caused by DHMO.

"

Do you have the survival figures for those who voluntarily ingested DHMO?

I would suggest that the miniscule risk is vastly outweighed by the positive outcome.

When DHMO is orally ingested using the recommended method it is relatively harmless. However it is often heavily tainted with ethanol causing loss of consciousness when ingested, and, in high doses will cause permanent organ damage (including brain, liver, and others) and complete shutdown resulting in death.

No. I'm quite content with XP and Linux and also with the first two jabs, no boosters.

Only just noted the uncanny similarity between unnecessary boosters and unnecessary operating system upgrades!

Yes it is. DHMO is one of the ingredients in the vaccines you have targeted! They are physically injecting it into you. How can you not be outraged by the use it?

I believe some people use it recreationally, immersion for example and in enclosed rooms in its gaseous form

Can be a extremely hazardous in its solid state

I read somewhere that those who are fully vaccinated will fall off the edge of flat Earth

No just slowly dropping dead one by one

Everyone is slowly dropping dead one by one "

But not died suddenly they ain’t

Don’t come in here with your nuance. Next you’ll be saying there’s a difference between industrial chemicals and those of medical purity.

"Well I got vaccinated. I wouldn't of had it if it wasn't for other people. One person I know who had the vaccine is now suffering from terrible arthritis which came about all of a sudden. She blames the vaccines, but I'm not sure about that.

These all of a sudden conditions happen all the time to people. Its hardly surprising that some people coincidentally suffer from a new condition after a vaccine.

I developed a hernia after the vaccine. Maybe I should blame that!?

32441 excess deaths between may and December 2022, not related to covid 19 = source ONS. "

From a previous thread not sure where you are getting that figure from but In total in 2022 there were 41891 excess deaths. There were 39107 covid deaths so no idea where you are getting your numbers from. There were 61663 excess deaths in 2021, 82399 covid deaths. 88951 excess 94988 civid deaths in 2020. So far in 2023 16335 excess and 9368 covid deaths.
