From the land of haribos.

Did you also watch it when the boss of who tedros was talking about it few days ago?

He said few things about it, like that this system will be a way of being better prepared for the next pandemic.

He also said that it will be built upon the existing covid 19 certificate, he also added that it will be "as a global public good" also that they wont have access to your details among other things.

What do you think of it, is it about having more control and what about to those who dont have a covid 19 certificate?

I wonder how they will implement it? Will you get some kind of notification? There are still quite few questions about it.

I think you're misunderstanding it's purpose. What he is talking about is an open source software platform that will be available for countries to use for creating a "Covid Pass" style app "In the event of a new global pandemic".

The covid pass systems around the world were fundamental in getting the world open again, BUT some countries didn't implement them as well as others, and not every scheme was globally recognised. An app based on their system would be trusted by all countries who also used their global "network".

What is isn't is a centrally managed "global health pass".

Yep.

It's going to be another case of something created that's a good, beneficial idea being perceived and touted (on social media and youtube) as yet another evil, global elite led system of control.

People seem to have forgotten you already need certain vaccinations to travel to certain places and always have.

Much like the notion of '15 minute cities', which we all pretty much lived in before the advent of private car ownership, out of town shopping centres and the Internet, any new idea that could potentially benefit society is now viewed with hate and scepticism just because it's easy to twist into something it isn't at all.

But hey.

Conspiracy theorists gotta conspire, eh.......

He did mention those things as well and yes, we will see what will happen with it.

Does this exclude govts who want to give the making of apps to their buddies when there are perfectly good apps available in the world that work and not as costly?

There is no compulsion for any given government to use the WHO's system, but I'm sure they can always find a way to make a profit.
