Personally I would ask a GP as opposed to drinking water but hey ... |

"You need to get out in the countryside force yourself to walk up some steep hills get your heart pumping drink plenty of water only and force flush your systems and let nature do its things."
When you are ill nature gives you these symptoms to make you rest and heal. You do more harm than good trying to push past it and do more.
Fresh air and keeping hydrated won't do any harm but forcing yourself to go walking and do strenuous exercise might. |

You just described my experience to a tee !
The light- headedness was more like Vertico and very debilitating!
Took about 4/6 weeks in total- worst thing was the constant headaches!
Lots of people have had it here in Gran Canaria so it’s very transmissible! |

Absolutely it can be very dangerous exercising when unwell even a cold can cause an enlarged heart and major issues.
But I'm all for fresh air and exercise in fact we are just recovering from this bloody lurgy and heading out for a 5mile walk tomorrow. |

Perhaps flu?
A lot of viral infections can affect us for extended periods, leaving us wiped out. The only thing we can individually test for is Covid, which will only show whilst infectious |

The dizziness could be attributable to your BP, so he has helped. |

It's called the flu, visit a chemist and say to the assistant 'I think I've got the flu"
They'll sort you out.
No need to thank me.
Or you could just wear a face cloth and wander about letting normal folk laugh at you. |

Kind of like how I've worn a mask while in any enclosed public venue for the last five years? I do get the occasional enquiring glance, though mostly only from fuckwits. What I don't get is continuous infections. It's not 100% perfection - 18 months ago I had a business meeting where I very rashly unmasked, then 2 days later found myself with covid, which has left me with background problems of an auto immune disease (which I might well have had for many years, but only triggered into diagnosable levels of activity after I got covid). I keep reading in these forums about all the people with "this lurgy that's been going on for weeks" and "it's like a dizziness that won't go away" and "never felt so ill in my life". Wouldn't you people rather not be ill? Or even just less ill? What if I told you that there's this One Weird Trick, that They Don't Want You To Know About... to cut your number of sick days by 90%?
And don't worry about the "normal" people laughing at you, because they're the ones spending so much time being ill that they don't actually get much chance to laugh any more... |

I had none of there issues. Like every year, I had my flu and covid jabs and they worked beautifully
(Now waiting for the nincompoops coming to lecture me on how the body really works, nature to do its course, evil big pharma etc. JUST LET ME GRAB MY POPCORN |

It's probably HMPV virus like I've had since Christmas, I've had Covid 3 times but this virus is evil compared to Covid.
Hospitals are almost at breaking point because of it but unlike Covid it's being played down even though it can kill 1 in 50 people making it far more dangerous than Covid, type in UK HMPV virus epidemic in Google to find out more.
I've been told it could be another 6 weeks before it's effect wear off and even then like Covid it can cause long term damage, children elderly and people with breathing problems are at moat risk from the virus. |

You don’t know what you’re talking about.
It’s a virus which has been around for decades. Very infectious but the population has already some degree of immunity against it. The risk of it of causing a pandemic like covid are minimal.
Plus, don’t venture in diagnoses by yourself |

I've had a bug that started with a sore tonsil, then weird chest congestion with night coughing, body aches, and a general gamey feeling later in the day. I had a stockpile of ivermectin and started taking it 4 days ago. I immediately started feeling better after the first 12mg dose. It truly works and is a wonderful drug. I'm back up to normal now, feeling great 😃 |

Thanks for the trolling
Ivermectin is an anti-worm, usually for veterinary purposes. Has no effect whatsoever on viruses, only gives you a big diarrhoea. It is mainly used on horses and jackasses. Not surprised you got a stash |

He's in America. Not that that explains it, but I do recall ivermectin being considered there. However, to date, the FDA has not approved its use for treatment in covid.
Also, as a point of interest, it's unlikely the drug would have immediately improved symptoms on a one dose basis. Perhaps that's more of a placebo effect (ie psychological). |

Or most likely, he improved after a week. Which is what normally happens with flu viruses. Classic case of doing nothing for the first 5 days, then trying some random stuff and attributing magical powers to it.
It’s wasn’t considered, there was a suggestion that it could kill covid in vitro. That quickly proved to be wrong and no one sane of mind would considered it again apart from a few anti vaxxers desperately looking for something that may work and make them look less silly. |

I could argue with you but the salient point is that it was not approved. |

Yes, and I’m not going to argue as I am going by memory and I may be wrong. The salient point, as you said, is that it was tested and turned out pretty immediately to be completely useless against covid or any other viruses. |

Ivermectin is primarily a livestock wormer that we use .
Quite what it can do for a virus I've no idea. |

Theres about 2 or 3 variants of cold/flu currently going around which is unusual, ive noticed a lot of people who had the MRNA experiment, are more ill than those who didn't have it, (im not heading into anti/vaccine with this) but its what im seeing, me, well ive noticed ive had a mucus caugh for months now, which being the colour it is, its a wash out of the respiratory tract, (lungs clear) but its an over responding immune system that hasn't stopped.

It's definitely not recommended for use, outside of its action against parasites |

“The MRNA experiment “
Ok, I don’t need to read any more than that
Actually, I read the rest and it’s even funnier!
By the way, the correct way to write it is mRNA. |

Morning, I’ve had a fuzzy head since mid December, and been really up and down with my energy levels. This weekend I’ve developed a heavy cough, and vomiting, can hardly get out of bed, will this ever end. Advice more than welcome please. |

Standard advice for viral infections: rest, paracetamol, fluids. See pharmacist re type of cough. No better in two weeks, see GP (may be bacterial infection). If you need advice ring 111, GP, practice nurse.
Oh BTW anyone can use the nhs website to help themselves. Good info on when to call 999 (red flags eg vomiting blood). Social media posts are a poor stand-in for tailored advice. |

I feel your pain totally, just coming into day four, I’m frightened to cough as it kills my chest and stomach. That’s without mentioning the aching bones, headaches and temperature. Doctor said it will take a week at least before any improvement. It’s a tough week. |

He said all my symptoms pointed to heart burn
I have had to go to a private doctors now ive been off work for comming up to a month 😭he said i have a virus of some sort with a trapped nerve in neck and torn rotor cuff. He thinks the nerve ect was caused by the tension and shaking i was doing while i had the virus but he also said the worst thing the doc could have done was give me stronger bp meds. When your ill your bp raises as im getting a bit better my bp is dropping very low he has taken me off the new meds now |

Having existing BP issues, it is not beyond reason to assess a deterioration. You could have questioned your GP, he'd have given you a rationale. It is unprofessional for the private doc to comment as he did. He has the advantage of seeing you post increase of meds. Your GP would have made a risk vs benefits assessment.
Anyway. Glad you're sorted. |

No, that's the brain, not the mind. And encephalitis is not just caused by viral pathogens. |
