Anyone have one ? I remember they became very popular during Covid when they claimed to be able to predict it.
I haven’t been ill for years, but I’m aware of being back in the UK. I’m gonna start getting coughs and colds again. I was thinking about getting one of those health predictors either a whoop band or something under the skin so that I can slow down & eat different foods at the right times to avoid virus

Why eat the things that cause you to get ill in the first place? |

" Never heard of this, how can eating certain foods at the right times help avoid a virus?

If you wanna get a whoop. You may as well get a higher end Garmin watch. Gives you the same information like whoop, without subscription and you can also use it as a watch or recording of activities. I am a triathlete and ultra runner and if I see my HRV, RHR and sleep aren't what I expect I take it easy as usually coming down with something |

I’ve got a Whoop. And I can tell you , it’s has no end helped me improve my health in so many different ways. There is a new model as well out recently. It even predicts (correctly) when you’re about to get sick! |

It’s all smoke and mirrors. It doesn’t actually predict when you’ll get it. You are already sick but your symptoms are not noticeable to you yet. The device can tell though, through small changes in pulse, temperature, respiration etc.
By that point you’re already infected so it doesn’t make any difference.

I’m interested due to long standing health issues, from what I’ve read and my understanding it will help look at cycles of exhaustion and when I can or am best not to push looking at rest recovery etc would be beneficial for a more balanced life? |

Eating correctly in the first place the correct amount of exercise and fresh air are all part of fending off illness. Being that it’s well advertised that even doing everything possible is no barrier to not getting the virus or spreading it and we now know that EVERYTHING we was doing to avoid it and the spread was a complete waste of time I can’t see what the OP is trying to do.

Have you tried cold water swimming as often as is possible for a month? It has helped many relieve symptoms of many different illnesses including fibromyalgia fatigue lethargy depression. |

I did have one previously, pretty good for tracking exercise and HRV.
But also kept telling me I wasn’t sleeping enough to be working out so often. Kind of hard to balance sleep with work commitments and exercise. I’ve got Garmin instead now |
