I had it done. It was all n the NHS so cost me nothing. It was done at the GP's surgery so no hospital visit. Local anaesthetic. I was fully recovered after 24 hours. There was no down side for me. Luke |

I had two women i was going out with lie to me about being on contraception to get pregnant.
To be clear I always asked if they wanted me to wear a condom.and both insisted they were on the pill.
Both admitted they lied.
Fortunately One lost it the other got a termination when she knew ai wasn't going to marry her though I said I would provide for the child and help bring it up.

My son had it done last year, he had to see a psychiatrist and basically justify his reasons, I think this was age related though I'm not sure. He was 27 at the time, but they have 3 sons. Never went to hospital, it was done at local clinic, hour and a quarter in and out. Another thing is though you come under Scotland NHS. |

Had it done years ago, never had or wanted kids and felt it unfair to rely on the wife for contraception.

Just thought of getting it scares me. But I'm easily scared lol, I've got a needle phobia as well. I definitely don't want kids. Its one my worst nightmares. Its probably a combination of being careful and luck that I don't have any kids; that I know of lol, but definitely not doing any unnecessary operations on my precious dick 😅

I had it done some years ago and like the others have said, short procedure at local GP surgery on a Friday lunchtime. Home for the weekend to rest and allow bruising to go go down,back to work Monday.
A few days later, the first of 2-3 samples were delivered fresh to the surgery for testing. All clear of swimmers around a month later.

Not true nothing can be done?
I had an epididymal cyst where my snip was on my left side. Cyst removed but came back. Long story short had an orchidectomy, 18th of February am still recovering as in healing but posably went back to work to soon but in much less pain now. But I had to go through insurance too pay for the operation. |

I had it done 2 years ago and besides some bruising and swelling it was easy, the op took 20 mins n was back in action 11 days later and I had zero pain at any stage.
Reversal can be horrendous and doesn't always work so only get it done if you are 100% sure you don't want to have or to have any more kids. |

Your seeds remain live for up to 2 weeks post snip. After mine my wife missed her pill while we were away for a dirty weekend and had to use condoms. God that felt weird. It was close to the 2 week point but hadn't put last sample in to get the all clear so couldn't risk it. |

Adding to what others have said here - I had mine last year (we're both child free) and it wasn't bad at all. The worst bit is the initial injection, but after that it's all numbed. If you are able to do right to choose, I'd recommend BPAS, they were amazing throughout and I think I only waited a month.

The anxiety about the procedure is worse than the actual procedure, took less than 10 mins, couple of days of aching & discomfort and a few months later another worry can put to one side.

Love the fact my husband had the snip just before we met. The freedom of worry free sex is amazing. I can't take any hormonal birth control so it was fantastic for me.

I find it strange you gave a few samples a few days later ? This isn’t normal procedure ? It’s normally at least 12 weeks/ 3 months after . And even then it’s likely not to have cleared even if you wank every day. So for you to then say you had zero after a month is also strange . Was this the norm at the time ?
