Have one every year.
Got mine booked for Friday 3rd of October.
Hopefully it won't make me feel like 💩.
Last year I lost all strength in my left arm for around 2 hours.
Couldn't even lift my pint mug. |

Not booked it yet. The Covid autumn booster starts from October, so will probably have the flu jab in October.
Having a very relaxed arm when injected can mean there's less impact on your arm tissue. Likewise, having the injector doing it calmly and less forcefully into your arm would reduce the potential for tissue impact.
Some ibuprofen or paracetamol could reduce the potential for soreness. You can use both simultaneously. |

We have one every year, having had flu twice I'd rather not have it again.
One unusual side effect is that it also makes you immune to people who deliberately try to wind you up. |

I used to get one but I was vaccine injured after Covid so don’t have them now, not had flu since I was 8 or so, had it really bad then so probably built up a decent immunity as it is. |

Get it every year.
I nearly died of the flu in 2019, and who knows who I passed it to before getting so sick. Absolutely worth a sore arm and feeling dicey for a day. |

The vaccine can't infect you with flu but you can get infected from other people, until your immunity from it has developed. |

There is nothing that could get me to take any jabs these days. I used to get the flu jab as I suffered with asthma, however after the scam of covid there is no chance this government could jab me. I would rather take my chances with nature. |

That's not the only case, my ex had blood clots, 2 weeks after having her first jab. She was a healthy and active woman, not saying that she couldn't have gotten them without the jab, however i have heard many stories very similar, hence my reluctance |

I've never had a jab. Flu or otherwise. Never wore a tinfoil hat either (silver isn't my colour). I lead a healthy lifestyle. If I get sick, I'll think about it. But if it ain't broke....... why would I risk side effects of something to protect me against something I've never got?? |

Covid is not a strain of the “common flu”. Is a different virus, who made a jump from animals to humans. Why talking about stuff you don’t know about?

Having said that, I’m just about to book my flu jab. Never had any issues with them apart from some pain on the injection site, which may last from a couple of hours to a night. I thoroughly recommend them for everyone, especially the elderly and people at risk. For people out of these categories, they have the benefit of making you avoid the annoying week off sick from work and still avoiding potentially bad complications.
No medical intervention is 100% safe, but of all medicines, vaccines are some of the safest. If you wanna see what happens when people listen to grifters, have a look at the measles epidemic in Texas, where they had the first deaths from it in over 20 years. |

When I asked the nurse about it she said it happens occasionally and something was just slightly caught inside my arm and caused an injury. Very weird and never happened before. If I decide to have one again I'll just go to the doctor's instead. I've been messaged but I'm not bothering this year. |

Had mine on Friday, felt ok Friday & the first half of Saturday. Then felt rough as fuck till early hours of Tuesday.
That's the first time after effects have lasted longer than 24 hours.
& No I wasn't hungover 😁. |

The flu vaccine injection is a deactivated virus. It cannot give you flu. Your partner obviously contracted a different strain and now wrongly associates it with the vaccine.
The nasal spray is a live attenuated virus, so it will give a person flu like symptoms. If they are immunocompromised or immune suppressed then likely it will progress to full flu. |

"Not booked it yet. The Covid autumn booster starts from October, so will probably have the flu jab in October.
Having a very relaxed arm when injected can mean there's less impact on your arm tissue. Likewise, having the injector doing it calmly and less forcefully into your arm would reduce the potential for tissue impact.
Some ibuprofen or paracetamol could reduce the potential for soreness. You can use both simultaneously. "

Had both flu and Covid jabs with no issues. Awaiting Parkinson’s review and in hospital next week for two days cancer radiation treatment. Xrays next week for three compressed vertebrae in my neck. But hey! Still upright and breathing |

Rainbow very kindly treated me to a private Covid jab. I have MECFS and know many people who went from mild/ moderate like me to being now in a bed bound state with severe ME after having Covid. I wouldn't wish severe ME even in my worst enemy. |

I’ve had the jab most years and touch wood have never had an adverse reaction or the flu. |

Crikey folks as with any flu/covid/MMR injections some will be affected more than others and having flu last year which knocked me for 6 but folk by now surely know there can be side effects but I would have the jabs as long as I alive. Without the jabs it likely would be lot worse. |

It should be a rare occurrence but as we age, our immune systems become less effective, so the strong benefits we've had when younger are more likely to disappear.
We're also at greater risk of having more severe illness or losing our life from infections like flu. |

Have it every year and had mine 5 weeks back. Never had any issues and arm never been sore. But got offered the gonorrhoea vaccine on last check up at GUM clinic,ok not 100 effective but if you do get it it’s mild and easier to treat plus added bonus it the meningitis vaccination and they said they found it was effective for gonorrhoea. Win win vaccinated against two. It’s double vac and Jez both times arm killed for two weeks. They said it could do it. But worth it. |

The jab literally gives you the flu for a few days numbs your arm and makes you feel crap for atleast 1-2 days and when you do get it you can still get the flu anyway? If elderly are vulnerable I can see a niche where it’s required but for the majority I think it’s crazy? Especially with the vaccine reports coming out from the dangers especially with Covid? I am reading the reports. The covid vaccines are safe for the vast majority of people, albeit like all drugs they can have adverse effects.
Also what you’re saying doesn’t make sense: the flu vaccine doesn’t numb your arm or make you feel ill for a few days. It prevents you from developing a bad flu that would floor you and instead you get a bit of malaise. You may get some pain in the arm for a day, not numbness. |

Make it 3 weeks. I've totally changed my viewpoint. A soon as I'm clear of this flu, I'm getting vaccinated. I can deal with sniffles, a sore arm & whatever else comes. But the mental torture the current virus is putting me through just isn't worth it. The dizziness, increased tinnitus,lack of energy & appetite is just bloody awful. 3 of my 4 covids were easier than this. |

"I honesty don’t see the point? The flu comes every year most people have it for a few days? The jab literally gives you the flu for a few days numbs your arm and makes you feel crap for atleast 1-2 days and when you do get it you can still get the flu anyway? If elderly are vulnerable I can see a niche where it’s required but for the majority I think it’s crazy? Especially with the vaccine reports coming out from the dangers especially with Covid? Is no one reading the lab reports from Japan and other countries?
What does the lab report from Japan say?
Btw if you have genuine influenza (as opposed to a heavy cold) you are going to feel crap for one to two weeks after being unable to lift your head off the pillow for several days

I've had flu twice in my life and while I wouldn't wish it on anybody I would like the people who believe it's 'just' a bad cold that lasts a couple of days could experience the symptoms for an hour. Do they genuinely believe governments will spend millions of pounds vaccinating against something the symptoms of which could be alleviated with two paracetamol and a bottle of Lucozade? |

Didn't have mine this year and spent 6 days in hospital with pneumonia & Flu A!at the beginning of December. I highly recommend everyone who can, should have it. |

Why do all these antivaxers claim to have done lots of research when they all appear to be low intellect sheep who will follow all the conspiracy bs on facebook and the like. The NHS are paying millions in an attempt to vaccinate and keep the population healthy (I assume the antivaxers think the most imminent doctors in the NHS arent smart enough not to allow the waste of this money) Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so why cant these antivaxers just exercise their right and leave us to make the sensible choices. |

Yes. It's hit big time. It's worse in December as everyone else is out having fun, while I get to ride on the sofa, watching Christmas happiness commercials & those ads begging for money for donkeys & Africans. I can't remember the number, but I counted up how much it'd cost if I gave the suggested donation to each one. It was a silly number.
So yes, 3 weeks of sofa & flu ain't advisable. It's really gets you down. The flu jab suddenly seems a small risk to take. |
