Recently had repair surgery. If you've had a repair you know what I mean
Mine has been straightforward with no complications.
If you're happy to share your experience of getting back to enjoying masturbation, intercourse and swinging please DM me. I'd like to chat with someone who's experienced the horribly long recovery while feeling unbelievably horny! L xx |

Great to hear you're on the way to full health again. ❣️
I can't imagine what a worrying time you've had.
I don't openly want to say what mine is but I'm fortunate it's not cancer related. xx |

"I had non cancerous cells removed in July. No sex for 8 weeks due to healing and bleeding. All mended now so all is good."
Did you feel horny in those 8 weeks? I'm not allowed to have an orgasm for at least 4 weeks and it's driving me mad, lol. |

Yeah, it wasn't good. Probably knowing I wasn't allowed to made me want to more. |

I'm still on a wait list. But hoping the whole process is not that bad. It's been since child birth 16 years ago, and only plucked up thr courage a year ago to try and get it sorted. I'm so horny always so not sure how long I'd manage... Esp with daily play. |

I'm sorry to read you're stuck on a wait list after taking the step of addressing the issue. That's rubbish for you.
I have been fortunate in that the op itself has been straightforward, as has the recovery since I came out of hospital.
I too generally had a solo play every day, and regular sex with hubbie also. It's been very frustrating not being able to do that.
I'm also a very active person with girlie lunches, the gym, swimming etc so the forced rest is also driving me to distraction....
I've found you have to do a lot of research on various medical websites, forums etc to build up any sort of picture of how getting back to regular sex will look. And as for getting back to anything more adventurous like DP, group sex etc I've found nothing.
If you'd like to chat privately don't hesitate to drop me a PM and I'm happy to chat about my experiences so far. xx |

I don't know what this specific repair surgery is you're talking about, but I'm following with interest.
I'm looking at the possibility of having a chunk of genitalia (outer labia) removed, due to HS. |

Hi, that's not what I had done. Mine was an internal op. But are you having the removal for health reasons or aesthetic reasons?
I enquired as to whether I could have labiaplasty at the same time as my repair but that wasn't advisable.
I will perhaps keep the thread updated as the sexual side of my recovery progresses. I know there is inadequate information around that area of a woman's recovery available.
If you want to PM me to chat rather than on here feel free. xx |

I ended up having to have a hysterectomy due to precancerous cells after many loop procedures I ended up with hardly any cervix but still testing positive. My womb was full of it so we made the decision to remove the issue. I had quite a long recovery due having sex, I waited the 6 weeks but I hemorrhaged as some internal stitches tore and I wasn't healed enough.
Don't play or have sex until your given the all clear I understand you may really want to but I really don't recommend it.

Hi, thanks for your post. It sounds like quite a traumatic time for you. I hope you're feeling better now.
I am quite worried about damaging the repair, as obviously don't want to end up in surgery again. I definitely won't be having intercourse until the consultant is happy for me to do so.
But I'm also worried about not being able to enjoy sex/swinging in the way I did before....I think I'd like to investigate my 'readiness' alone. |

I had sugery to fix me after my first labour went so horribly wrong.
I was later asked during my hysterectomy surgery if I wanted further fixing, so I said yes. No regrets, seems to have worked well for me.
Hope any ladies going through similar find it helps. |

I feel for you beautiful women.
Back in 2017 My wife had a hysterectomy due to precancerous cells.
It has all but ended what was a fantastic sex life.
The surgeon could have just removed the effected cells and didn't really explain the consequences of a full hysterectomy.
If it had been a female surgeon we feel that the hysterectomy would never have been done.
My wife has since been trying to find a way to get her sex drive back, but so far no luck |

Truly sorry to hear your wife's experience. There's so little support for ladies with low libido. If testosterone levels are fine, GPs are generally not interested 🫤 xx |

"I had a 10cm ovarian cyst removed 2 years ago.
No sex for 6-8 weeks but to be honest, sex was the last thing on my mind. "
Ooo, hope you're back to full fitness now and enjoying a fulfilling sex life?
I'm so horny it's ridiculous.xx |

I'm very happy to discuss my journey here .. if ok with you!! Even tho we clearly aren't going through the same procedure/s, as it's still groin and genital, and not often talked about on here, it's closer than.. say.. you having a genital operation and me having a boob operation.
So this is just a thing I'm happy to talk about because.. you know??
So, I've got Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) - basically recurring boils/abscesses in certain areas (usually under breasts, in armpits or groin). I'm blessed with being worse in the groin and genitals.
I started immune suppression injections over a year ago, to calm my system down fighting anything as a boil/flare up.
It's worked very well, but a couple of flares happen still, the worst one being a flare that tracks into my right side outer labia. So when that flares up, my whole right side labia swells up with gunk til it looks and feels like an elephants bollock, tight as a drum skin.. then bursts.
Because it keeps bursting in the same place, it's left a large scarred lump that gets larger and takes longer to heal every time.
So if that happens more often, that's the potential area that we could be looking at having cut out, for health reasons in a year or 2/3/4.
Cause it fuckin' hurts.

My wife had a repair done down there more than twenty years ago due to repeat hernias, they used the dreaded surgical mesh with the result she cannot tolerate any penetrative sex, the surgeon said he had never experienced this problem before then a short while later the fuss about this type of op started to surface, nothing could be done to correct it. |

Wow, that sounds painful and a difficult med regime. So sorry you're going through that.
Do you feel the operation will be the ultimate outcome or could the immune suppressant lead to a longer and longer period between flare ups? |

Oh no, I have heard of a couple of women with long term problems following use of mesh. I can't imagine how angry she must feel.
I am fortunate that mesh wasn't needed.

I really don't know yet. The immune suppressants have helped very well , as in.. pre meds, I didn't have one week free of a flare somewhere.
Post meds, hugely improved in flare up reduction to maybe 4 per year.. but this one cunting flare by my.. well, cunt, ain't got the memo.
So basically, I'm gonna sit on it (ouch) and make a diary.. if it impedes me more next year, I'll discuss with Derm at next appointment. (Would be plastics for me, not Gynae if an Op does happen)

My partner, also roughly 20 years ago, had a sling fitted. It worked wonderful, for approx five or ten years, with no issues. But then after she had a hip replacement. Her health started to decline and she was at the end, back to wearing pads. |

Sorry to hear that. I was lucky enough not to need a sling/mesh. I know they try not to use them these days due to the associated difficulties.
So far my recovery has been substantially better than anticipated. I'm counting my blessings. x |

Has any lady here suffered from TVT mesh damage. I did and had mine removed in 2016 after 6 years of pain and autoimmune issues. Enjoying sex again very much but still have flare ups and pain in groin where muscle was cut/damaged |

This is all terrible to read. Its something we are currently going through.
Sadly its all investigation work that causing the main issues now.
From the initial internal pain, where L has been doubled over in pain its now lead to a chemical menopause that has helped with the pain, however this will now mean a hysterectomy...
Life has not been easy for L as she has ms too.
Still we try and live a normal life and both love the scene and sex. |

I've a friend who had mesh difficulties and you have my sympathises.
I was lucky it wasn't required for my situation, and thankfully they are using it far less often now I believe. xx |

I have been lucky to avoid much surgery but have a number of issues over time.
Starting with complex tearing during childbirth and the wound didn't heal ideally.
Found fibroids in my womb and offered full hysterectomy as they don't remove fibroids for women over childbearing age. My only options are to live with it or hysterectomy. So far so good..I want to keep my womb and ovaries if I can! Symptoms ok for now.
A complication with the coil meant I spent the best part of a year bleeding and in pain. It had slipped into a tricky position and had to be surgically corrected.
I consider myself lucky to be 52 and still experiencing the beauty of sexual sensual pleasure in so many ways despite what my body endures. We are always deserving of pleasure and love .. never stop pleasure seeking. Sometimes we need to adjust a bit.
What women can go through!
Sending love and healing wishes

I’ve recently undergone treatment for cancer which was daily chemo and radiotherapy for six weeks. The radiotherapy was targeted to my pelvic area. During treatment I had to have a dialator appointment where I was given basically 4 different size dildos that I had to use up to 2/3 times a week, sex was encouraged too
Vaginal dilators are crucial after pelvic radiotherapy to prevent vaginal narrowing (stenosis) and scarring, helping maintain vaginal length and flexibility for comfort, future exams, and sex by gently stretching tissues, with use often starting weeks after treatment, requiring lubrication, a gradual size progression, and regular applicationto preserve sexual health and quality of life
Aside from that there’s the scarring from radiation burns, radiotherapy tattoos in intimate areas, discolouration of skin
I’d never really thought about these lasting effects before treatment started and I’ve been lucky that I had a trusted person who knew and knows my body well and cares for me
I still enjoy sex and get so much pleasure from it, I’m only 53 and not giving up that side of my life just yet. I’m a very sensual and sexual person but I know it may make future encounters from fab difficult for me as there will have to be a lot of trust placed in someone before I become intimate with them |

Has anyone had any operations to help with erosive lichen planus.
For those that don't know what it is.
It is an auto immune disease.
Erosive lichen planus (ELP) is a severe variant of lichen planus, an inflammatory condition that affects the skin and mucous membranes. It is primarily known for causing painful ulcers and erosions, particularly in the oral cavity and genital areas. This condition is more common in women, especially those aged between 40 and 70 years, and can lead to significant discomfort and complications if left untreated. |
