My daughter wants her boobs reduced in size and has been for 2 consultations at good clinics. Both do the operation and send you home the same day which came as a surprise to me as I thought she would be kept in for a few days. I am now a bit worried and wondered if anyone has had experience with this who could help put my mind at ease. |

Yes, plenty aftercare which is why she has saved to get it done in this country. She has researched both clinics well and feels confident with her choices. Maybe, as a mother i am panicking too much but to me it seems such a big step to take. |

I had one 23 years ago and yes went home same day.
That was NHS though.
I was slim but bigger breasted than I am now.
I had reduction, lift and reconstruction.
However,
Gained weight and they’ve grown back!
It was a good few weeks recovery.

2 girlfriends had reductions
Both on the NHS
1 great .. came come same day but with a few tubes sticking out with bags for drainage.
2nd mmm surgon sewed her nipples back but in different places. So didnt look level.

I’ve got a friend that’s had it done and there is a lot of after care. A lot of drainage. However, the surgeon messed up something with the nipples and the cells have now died. Unfortunately, that’s very common.
So, it’s something to keep an eye on.

It's surgery, there's always after care and healing, that's normal.
I don't disbelieve your friends experience. However necrosis and tissue damage like that is incredibly rare. Please don't scaremonger. |

Get a further consultation with Spire Murrayfield hospital Edinburgh
They are a private hospital with senior NHS surgeon's working private.
Your daughter doesn't have to choose them, but they are reputable and will give an honest opinion and first consultation is roughly £200
You can go on the Spire Murrayfield website and check out and choose the specific surgeon checking all qualifications and experience |

It's normal to worry. My ex had hers reduced but she went private and she had to stay a few days to recover. Her boobs were humongous. I'm wishing your daughter all the best, hopefully a successful operation and recovery. 🙌🏾😊 |
