Are you a BBW lover, shamer or indifferent?
I've just received a message from a male asking me to join his walking group 60 miles away as the NHS is crippled by "all the obese" people in Wales. Seeing as I walk at least an hour every day this male thinks fat means unfit.
Is this fat shaming acceptable? |

I’ve just seen this on your status!
What an absolute knob! My partner and I aren’t small and I’m a size 18-20, I work as a chef and I’m on my feet all day everyday. We both go to the gym regularly and take our dog out twice a day and are still big. Big doesn’t mean lazy or unfit and people are too dense to realise this!

As someone who was previously obese and lost a lot of weight, I do think everyone should take some accountability for their own health and bodies. However, I don't believe that fat shaming is ok nor is it helpful. Most fat people know they're fat, pointing out the obvious isn't going to change that. People need to want to do change and that can only start with them  |

Exactly. I walk an hour every day, I have fibromyalgia which I cannot take any anti-inflammatory, pain killer or antidepressant for. If I push myself too much I end up crashed out in pain and fatigue.

Got to laugh at the dickhead who assumes that being a BBW means you don't exercise.....
I go to gym three times a week when I can, I weight lift and have a personal trainer. And I'm still a BBW.
I know I'm not for everyone but I accept that and don't try to push myself on anyone.

Sorry to hear you had to deal with narrow minded people like that, don't see why people carn't just go on by and say nothing.
It states on our couples profile and my single that I am curvy/voluptuous/full figured what ever the term and I still got a message the other day saying "I don't usually like big girls but your gorgeous" haha rolled my eyes and pointed out what a backhanded compliment/insult it was and swiftly blocked him.
As long as we are healthy why can't we be all shapes and sizes! On a personal note 'big girls cuddle better besides other things  hehe |

It’s a shame that some people have to stoop so low. More often than not it’s because they can handle the rejection. Confident is the most sexy thing a person can be. If you’re happy in you’re own skin and you don’t give two fucks about the world knowing it. Good for you. We should all embrace our best qualities and not be so quick to judge people by appearance alone. Our beauty is in how we see ourselves, not how others see us. My weight has fluctuated greatly over the years. I am thrilled to see that they are starting to look towards science now as historically the medical opinion and the general population would all say ‘if you are fat you eat too much’. Which as I mentioned above is now being myth busted by looking at the scientific reasons some of us are bigger or smaller.
For me attraction is almost always cerebral, a person’s personality, sense of humour etc are all more important to me. I would choose personality over stunning looks, especially if the stunning woman was quite vacuous personality wise! Attraction is a strange thing and when I was younger i would often be out shopping for example and a woman would walk past that wasn’t traditionally my type but something would just say phwaa she is bloody amazing!! |

My nan always called me her "little prop forward" as I was "solid" as a child. Size 14-16 hour glass figure as a teenager and then put all my weight on (size 26) with my ex husband due to unhappiness.
I would be happy to get to an 18 again but it's a long road for me.

I'd like to say indifferent but that sounds bad. If I like a person their size isn't a factor. I've had playmates from size 8 to 24. Each one I've been with because I've connected with their personality.
If I clicked with someone I wouldn't turn them down because of their weight. Equal if someone was size 8 and I didn't click with them I wouldn't be interested.
There'll always be haters best not to give them head space, ignore and move on. |

I'm a fat old bird. Approx size 24. Always been tall and big, right from childhood. Took me a long time to accept myself, but I'm fucked if I'd let some total bloody stranger try and dictate to me how I should live my life. Would like to lose some weight as I felt much better in myself when I was few stone lighter. But menopause and meds don't help.
Need to get myself motivated again. |

I've been 23st and I've been 17st (currently sitting at around 18st), the secret is to love yourself! I know that I'm not everyones cuppa tea and I've had the "your very chunky" and other comments, now I don't mind as those people don't matter. Is it nice for people to say stuff like that, fuck no but I've learnt through the years that you can't control others only the way you deal with it. Also I would imagine some of the less nice people on here do it for the reaction, so I don't give them one.
Also (and abit messed up for a swinging site) I'm happy to talk and support anyone going through this as I've been there and understand.

A lot of the time these people (mainly men) are just bored,heartless and just keyboard warriors.
Me myself are mainly attracted to BBW Women,that’s just me. I’m constantly having the pee taken out of me by my mates if we’re out and I’m chatting up the curvy lady.There’s this stigma that curvier women aren’t meant to be chatted too….it stinks. I hate it!!
